The Tenant

A simple man, Dr. Walter Newman has high aspirations to cure all disease through genetic manipulation. His obsession with his mission draws him deeper into his own dark world, distracting him from his wife Olivia and from his responsibilities to his patients at the Edgewood Asylum. The doctor’s loyal but diabolical nurse, Ms. Tinsley, decides to take matters into her own hands and in secret she conducts her own experiment.

When Dr. Newman realizes what has been done, a deformed creature that defies nature is created. Part human, part nightmare. Dr. Newman knows what he must do, but is it already too late?

The Barrens

Moyer will play a man who takes his family on a camping trip to the more than 1 million acres of dense forest known as the New Jersey Pine Barrens, where he becomes convinced they’re being stalked by the legendary winged monster that looks like a deformed hybrid of several different animals.

The legend of The Jersey Devil has been passed along for hundreds of years, as the creature has risen from obscurity to take its place alongside the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot and the Chupacabra.

[San Diego Comic-Con '12] New ‘The Devil’s Carnival’ Clip Stings, Sing YOUR Version & Join The Tour!

The Devil’s Carnival – the latest musical from Darren Lynn Bousman (Repo: The Genetic Opera, Saw 2-4, Mother’s Day) is headed back out on the road after a successful 40 date tour earlier this year. It all kicks off at 11:59PM on July 13th during the San Diego Comic-Con at the Gaslamp Theatre (tickets here)! We attended the premiere of the event back in April and you are welcome to read our positive recap.

But before the Devil continues his road show, Bloody Disgusting has landed an exclusive clip that ties into a pretty cool promotion. In this scene, Lucifer (Zdunich) reads the classic fable “The Scorpion and the Frog” as the slick and charming Scorpion (Marc Senter) croons “Trust Me” to his gullible frog gal, Tamara (Jessica Lowndes). Aided by the lovely Painted Doll (Emilie Autumn), The Scorpion uses a knife-thrower’s deadly accuracy to strike love into Tamara’s heart. But once she takes his bait, this Lothario can’t help but reveal his true, venomous nature.

In short, creators Darren Lynn Bousman and Terrance Zdunich want to hear your cover of “Trust Me”, a lethal lullaby from their new musical movie. The most infernally inspired videos will be screened in front of thousands on The Devil’s Carnival 24-City EncoreTour! (Tickets for all shows are available here.)

You’ll find the video with more instructions, along with tour info after the break. READ MORE

Seriously, this movie is only going to be 45 minutes long, right? So is it just going to be a bunch of people introducing themselves? We’ll see! Darren Lynn Bousman’s The Devil’s Carnival wrapped shooting a few weeks back but is still making casting announcements. It’s like the Tupac of wrapped movies.

Wanna Play Show & Tell? I’ll Show You a Clip From ‘Mother’s Day’ and You Tell Me What You Think!

I hope you’re excited, because I am! Anonymously showing up in my inbox this morning was an exclusive leaked clip (probably in preperation for EFM this week) from Darren Lynn Bousman’s hotly anticipated Mother’s Day!

The scene, which I like to cal “Show & Tell”, features a tense moment between Mother (Rebecca De Mornay) and the tied up Daniel Sohapi (Frank Grillo). “Now its time for show and tell,” exclaims Mornay. “I am gonna show, and you ARE gonna tell.” The moment continues as she pushes deep into Daniel’s past, burning a photo of his dead son before giving a partygoer a little alcohol bath (yikes!)

The clip then evolves into a montage of footage featuring stars Jaime King, Deborah Ann Woll, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Shawn Ashmore, Matt O’Leary, Lyriq Bent, Lisa Marcos, Patrick Flueger, AJ Cook, J. LaRose, and Warren Kole.

In the thriller arriving in theaters April 1, three brothers on the run from the law head for home, only to discover that their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. Mother ingeniously orchestrates her sons’ escape, teaching the house’s new owners and their guests a few lessons along the way.

I’m currently shooting ’11-11-11′ and I find out things like the rest of the community,” Bousman told us when we checked in on the clip. “I wake up every morning hoping to see a trailer or a poster, or something else. I am as in the dark and frustrated as you are. I hope we see movement soon. I really feel its my best film and I want people to see it.

Dig on the clip below and then hit the “reply” button to tell us what YOU think.
