A turn of the century ritual to raise the feminine evil goes horribly awry and leaves a she demon dormant on the ceremonial grounds. Sixty years later a young couple moves into a house built on the ancient grounds and their daughter’s murder leaves the house abandoned for yet another forty years. Now, six fun loving college students are hired to clean up the house for a greedy real estate mogul who plans to sell it for a large profit. They unwittingly awake the demon and only the ultimate sacrifice can save the world from a future of unspeakable evil.

I haven’t seen Alyce Kills, the newest BD Selects title from Zombie Strippers director Jay Lee, but I loved the trailer. Since that was so action packed I have to assume this new clip is from one of the more suspenseful, methodically paced, segments of the film – but it’s still got a spooky payoff.

Director Jay Lee takes us down the rabbit hole and unleashes enough chaos and horror to satisfy any gore hound. Alyce Kills stars Tamara Feldman (Hatchet), James Duval (Donnie Darko, Doom Generation), Eddie Rouse (Pandorum), Larry Cedar (The Crazies), Yorgo Constantine (Fast Five), Megan Gallagher (“Millenium”) Rena Owen (Once We Were Warriors), Tracey Walter (Repo Man, Batman), Bret Roberts (May, Nighstalker) and Jade Dornfeld making her film debut as the titular character Alyce.

Alyce Kills takes an unflinching look at a young woman’s struggle to keep it together after tragically killing her best friend. Haunted by guilt, she begins to unravel–losing sleep, losing her job and eventually her sanity. Alyce Kills will be released in select theaters on May 24, 2013. It will be available on Cable VOD in partnership with Tribeca Films and for digital streaming on May 21, 2013. I haven’t seen Alyce Kills, the newest BD Selects title from Zombie Strippers director Jay Lee, but d*mn if I’m not intrigued by this trailer. At only 45 seconds, it manages to pack more information and events into its runtime than most 2 minute jobs, and it doesn’t spoil the whole plot to boot!
