Christine and Mike are an ordinary middle-class couple, living in what could be any house on any street. It’s an average evening as they prepare dinner, open a bottle of wine and bicker as they wait for their teenage son Sebastian to come home from football. A ring at the door is answered by Christine. A terrible scream and she reappears, a knife at her throat, a gang of teenagers at her back, who tie them both up. It seems Sebastian has snitched on one of them and they are here to exact the worst revenge imaginable to a parent, but in the sincere belief they hold the moral high ground – that this is the right thing to do. They settle in to wait for Sebastian to come home.

Image Entertainment has announced a January 29 home video release of Cherry Tree Lane, the latest genre offering from The Cottage director and The Children writer Paul Andrew Williams! Bloody Disgusting has your exclusive first look at the U.S. trailer.

From director Robert Heath comes the shocker True Or Die (formerly Truth Or Dare), which Bloody Disgusting Selects will release on Cabler VOD September 1 with a full VOD platform and DVD release set for October 9.

We have just now landed the North American rights to Robert Heath’s genre shocker Truth or Dare for release on DVD, VOD and digital platforms later this year.

Directed by Heath, and produced by Corona Pictures, “the film portrays five teenage friends who are taken hostage by a vengeful psychopath and forced to play a party game with life-or-death consequences. Robert Heath, who made the 2010 political drama Sus, directed the thriller “about five teenage friends who are taken hostage by a psychopath and forced to play a deadly spin-the-bottle party game.” The script has been written by Matthew McGuchan.

The cast includes a crop of upcoming young British actors including David Oakes (Pillars of the Earth), Jennie Jacques (Cherry Tree Lane), Liam Boyle (Awaydays), Jack Gordon (Fish Tank) and Alexander Vlahos (The Indian Doctor).
