The footage is edited together incredibly “dramatic”, which I find interesting. I’ve heard it’s not incredibly violent like Martyrs.

A film that’s quietly been in post production for quite some time that’s on the top of my must see list of 2012 is The Tall Man, the latest horror project from Martyrs director Pascal Laugier.
Starring Jessica Beil, Teach Grant, William Davis, Samantha Ferris, Jodelle Ferland and Stephen McHattie, last November we shared with you a ton of images, now we’ve got 10-seconds of footage that’s part of a demo-reel.

Next to the Silent Hill sequel news, the coolest thing we came across at the AFM were a few dozen first ever images from The Tall Man, Pascal Laugier’s follow-up horror film to Martyrs that stars Jessica Beil, Teach Grant, William Davis, Samantha Ferris, Jodelle Ferland, and Stephen McHattie. This is hands down my most anticipated indie film for 2011. Set in the town of Cold Rock, The Tall Man is a story of the haunting secrets that hide behind closed doors. With children gone missing over the years leaving neither a clue nor a witness, superstitious locals talk of `The Tall Man,’ a legendary, mysterious dark figure who takes children away never to be seen again. When a woman’s son is taken, the chase is on and with it the quest for answers: who is the Tall Man and what happens to the children?
