This month’s “X-Files Season 10” a standalone adventure that will make your skin crawl. Harris’ script is sparse on actual details but gives the mystery of something larger than Mulder could ever fathom. Adding to the atmosphere of this haunting chapter is effective use of sound effects that brings “Chitter” to life. While Greg Scott’s art makes for one of the darkest and most horrific chapters of the book to date. READ MORE
Joe Harris brings a one and done adventure to the “X-Files Season 10” this month. The effect is a fast paced issue that is steeped in mystery and rushes toward a conclusion. Michael Walsh’s return is welcomed, as his artistic style feels incredibly at home in this world. The tight script and fun art make for one of the best chapters of this book yet. READ MORE
Joe Harris concludes “Hosts” by taking a sidestep to the larger story. The result is an adventure that provides a thrilling tease, but fails to ultimately deliver a compelling adventure as a whole. Pacing issues plod the entire thing down to a series of dialogue scenes meant to deconstruct seemingly related events in Ukraine. The “X-Files Season 10” # 7 still has great art by Casagrande, but the story fails to deliver any sort of satisfying conclusion. READ MORE
Joe Harris begins his second arc in the “X-Files Season 10” by taking a step back to immerse the characters in their own history. The newest chapter of the revived series is filled with nods to the past that will remind readers they’re in the hands of a master x-phile. While new artist Elena Casagrande steps in to revive one of the series most beloved creatures. Her art is horrifying and dark in all the right ways. Which is to say that the second arc of the series has kicked off with a resounding success. READ MORE
The first arc of “The X-Files Season 10″ concludes this month in wonderfully mysterious fashion. The Acolytes true motivations are further developed. Mulder and Scully find themselves right back where they left off, and the status quo is reset for another generation of paranormal adventures. Joe Harris and Michael Walsh end “Believers” true to the source material, which means it, will leave you dying for more. READ MORE
‘The X-Files Season 10′ begins with a bang and doesn’t let up. “Believers” builds to its natural climax this month. The Acolytes deepen the series’ mythology and push characters in new directions. “The X-Files” is back and the tremendous sense of familiarity that comes with it is welcomed. This comic feels like a well-oiled machine. Everything begins with a (literal) bang and doesn’t concern itself with the threads left over from last month. Instead we’re treated to the reintroduction of a familiar face, only to have it ripped from us within a page and a half. Joe Harris creates a compelling new adventure that feels like one of the best episodes of the series. READ MORE
“The X-Files” returns this month, continuing from where the original series left off. Joe Harris jumps in with an engrossing story, terrific dialogue, and a plot that’s equally dangerous and mysterious. A lot has happened in the eleven years since “The X-Files” has been off the air. Most notable of which is the passing of the colonization date: December 22, 2012. This season propels the series to a current timeline. So it seems skipping this date would be a grave misstep. Yet, it is the issue’s biggest strength. “The X-Files” is back in a big way. READ MORE
