Scarce depicts the gruesome fate of three lost snowboarders trapped at an isolated forest cabin owned by two menacing locals who harvest human flesh. As the day of the slaughter nears, they attempt to escape barefoot through the frozen wilderness.
Foresight Features (Monster Brawl, Exit Humanity) has passed along the poster for HellmouthPontypool’s Tony Burgess and stars Stephen McHattie (PontyPool, The Watchmen). It was directed by John Geddes (Exit Humanity) and is now in post.
Hellmouth is described as a 1950′s throwback (something I can definitely get behind). Per Director Geddes, “I wanted to create a story-driven film with fantasy and horror combined. Something that was directly inspired by the era of Hitchcock and even Ed Wood. Working with a writer like Tony Burgess was a pleasure as we both love the simplicity in many of the old classic films of the 50′s and 60′s, and even earlier in films like Nosferatu and Faust. We worked really hard to make Hellmouth something fresh.”

On DVD and VOD platforms June 19 from Bloody Disgusting Selects is John Geddes’ post-apocalyptic Exit Humanity, which portrays a young man’s struggle to survive in the aftermath of an undead outbreak during the American Civil War. The movie is heavily inspired by classic films such as Jeremiah Johnson and The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Horror icon Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) appears in the film as General Williams. I hopped on the phone with him yesterday to talk about what attracted him to the role and what it was like working with first-time director John Geddes. We wound up talking for a while and discussed a number of other projects, so I’ve decided to split this interview into two parts. Today’s installment will focus on Exit Humanity and touch on his role as Charles Manson in Manson Girls, while tomorrow’s portion of the interview will concern The Tortured and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.
Exit Humanity also stars Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo), Stephen McHattie (Pontypool, The Watchmen, 300), and new horror hero Mark Gibson. Brian Cox provides narration.
