Flyleaf Performs Several Tracks Acoustically: Videos Inside

Rock band Flyleaf has teamed up with Livestream and released four acoustic performances, which you can watch below. The band performed three tracks from their new album New Horizons (review) as well as the track “All Around Me”, which comes from their 2005 self-titled debut album.

Flyleaf And Drowning Pool To Co-Headline US Tour

Heavy rock bands Flyleaf and Drowning Pool will be co-headlining a US tour that begins Feb. 21st in Philadelphia and ends Mar. 24th in Tucson. Support will come from Los Angeles rock band Stars In Stereo. This will be Flyleaf’s first full tour with new singer Kristen May as the support their latest album New Horizons (review). You can see a full touring schedule below.

Flyleaf guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya exclaims, “We’re excited for everyone to experience Kristen May’s powerful and inspiring voice as she joins us on stage.

Bassist Pat Seals adds, “I can’t wait for these new songs to happen live for both longtime and new fans.

Drowning Pool guitarist CJ Pierce adds, “We’re excited as hell to get back out on the road and hang with our fellow Texas rockers Flyleaf. We’ve done some radio shows together in the past but this will be our first real run together. I know Flyleaf has great new line up and some amazing new tunes. We’ll be playing a killer mix of songs from our catalogue and some new tunes as well. Looking forward to rocking out with everyone.

Lacey Sturm And Flyleaf Part Ways: New Singer Announced

Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm has announced that she will be departing the band, effective immediately. The band has also announced that ex-Vedera vocalist Kristen May has stepped in for all future tour dates supporting the upcoming album New Horizons, which comes out next week on Oct. 30th.

When listening to New Horizons, I would hope that fans would be able to lose themselves in the story of each of these songs and form their own connections to them—as we have in the band,” remarked bass player Pat Seals. “There is a great deal of our souls laid bare on this record, and I feel like it really comes through on the tracks.
