Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm has announced that she will be departing the band, effective immediately. The band has also announced that ex-Vedera vocalist Kristen May has stepped in for all future tour dates supporting the upcoming album New Horizons, which comes out next week on Oct. 30th.

Rock band Flyleaf have released a video for “New Horizons”, the first single off their upcoming album of the same name. The video shows the band performing in a room that is littered with old photographs of the band. At the end, vocalist Lacey Sturm opens up a photo album and then joins her husband, Joshua and son, Joshua “Jack”, on a picnic blanket (note: these are really her husband and son). Check out the video below.
Also, as a bonus, today marks Lacey’s birthday, so make sure to wish her a happy birthday! READ MORE
If you aren’t seeing Underworld: Awakening tonight and are pissed off about that, here’s a video to tide you over that features footage not seen in the trailers. The song is called Heavy Prey and is performed by Filter‘s Gene Lenardo with Flyleaf‘s Lacey Sturm on vocals. It’s definitely a good fit for the movie and the visuals match the aesthetics of the film.
