Lacuna Coil Release Video For “In The End”

Italian melodic metal group Lacuna Coil have released an official video for “In The End”, which comes off their album Dark Adrenaline. Directed by Roberto Cinardi, who worked with the band previously on the “Spellbound” and “I Won’t Tell You” videos, the video shows singers Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro in various classically-inspired outfits. It’s a slow video, one that is more hypnotic than exciting, which works well for the music. Also, anyone who designs costumes or does set design for theater will probably love this video. Check it out below. READ MORE

Lacuna Coil To Tour The US With Sevendust In Early 2013

Italian melodic hard rockers Lacuna Coil have announced an early 2013 US tour alongside Sevendust. The band will be touring in support of their most recent album Dark Adrenaline, which came out Jan. 23rd of this year. You can see the tour schedule below.

I’ve seen Lacuna Coil three times: once at Harpos in Detroit, once at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland (along with Tapping The Vein and Daylight Dies!), and lastly at an acoustic show in downtown Ann Arbor at Borders store #1. Basically, I haven’t seen them since 2005, so it’d be interesting to check them out after all these years to see what their show is like now. READ MORE

[Editorial] Why I Prefer Listening To Musicians Sing In Their Native Tongue

I’m one of those guys who pops in a foreign horror movie into my DVD player (I still haven’t upgraded to Blu-Ray. Shove off.) and makes sure that it’s set to English subtitles and the original language as my audio. I’d rather read the text at the bottom of the screen than see mouths move without the words matching. That throws me off more than anything else.

But the main reason I do this is because I love hearing the languages of the world. I want to hear the difference between Spanish and Portuguese. I want to hear how Serbian is different from Russian (True story: Since I know a bit of Russian, I was actually able to understand several words and phrases in A Serbian Film). It’s so exciting to hear the flow and intonations of other languages and it makes the world a much richer place for me.

The same thing applies to my love of music. I love hearing people sing in different languages because it makes it that much more of an adventure. While I may not understand what they are saying (that’s why translations are available), their passion and the musical flow of their voice is so enchanting that I’m hooked. READ MORE

[LOL] Woman Posts Ad On Craigslist Looking For Man Who Fathered Her Child At Megadeth Show

This is just too good of a story to not be shared. Apparently, a 28-year old woman attended the Chicago Gigantour show, which featured Megadeth, Motorhead, Lacuna Coil, and Volbeat. During the show, she encountered a strapping young lad and the two proceeded to engage in…shall we say illicit behavior in one of the bathroom stalls. Fast forward and she finds out she is pregnant and is trying to reach the father through the majestical land of Craigslist. I’m not joking. Read on for the full posting. READ MORE

Megadeth Resurrects Gigantour With Motorhead, Volbeat, And Lacuna Coil

Back in 2005, I was lucky enough to go and check out the first ever Gigantour, the here-and-there summer festival started by Megadeth. Needless to say, for the ticket price (I think it was something like $25), I definitely got my money’s worth. Now, Megadeth has announced that they are resurrecting the tour. However, some things have changed: First of all, it’s not going to be in the summer. Rather, the tour will start towards the end of January and run through early March. Second, there apparently won’t be a full day of music. Instead, only three other bands will be joining Megadeth on stage: Motorhead, Volbeat, and Lacuna Coil. Tour dates have yet to be announced, so keep an eye on Megadeth.com.

I’m still very interested in checking out the show but it seems like this could’ve been called something else. Imagine if Ozzfest was Ozzy headlining with Black Label Society and Fear Factory attached on the tour and that was it. Nope, not the same. Not the same at all.

Lacuna Coil Unleashing ‘Dark Adrenaline’ This Winter

Italian female-fronted rock group Lacuna Coil have finalized a release date for Dark Adrenaline, their newest album. The album will be coming out Jan. 24th, 2012 and the first single, Trip The Darkness, will be coming out Oct. 10th. The album is produced by Don Gilmore, who has worked with Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, and Bullet For My Valentine.

Personally, I think that’s a bit too long in between the single and the album release. That is unless it’s one hell of a kick ass song. Fingers crossed, right?
Check after the jump for the full track list and a message from singer Cristina Scabbia.

Lacuna Coil Announce UK Tour In Support Of New Album

Italian melodic metal band Lacuna Coil has been keeping kind of quiet for the past few months, emerging only to release the name of their upcoming album, Dark Adrenaline, which is slated for an early 2012 release. I’ll be perfectly honest, Comalies was the last album of theirs that I really enjoyed, so I’m hoping that the new album is a return to that form OR something totally unexpected and badass.

Check after the jump for a message from Cristina and all the tour dates.

Exclusive Video Premiere: Nevermore ‘Emptiness Unobstructed’

Bloody-Disgusting is thrilled to exclusively premiere the video for ‘Emptiness Unobstructed’, the first single off of the new Nevermore album, ‘The Obsidian Conspiracy’! The video is directed by Nigel Crane (Lacuna Coil, Slipknot, Pitchshifter). Here is what singer Warrel Dane had to say about the shoot:

“Working with director Nigel Crane was a great experience. We spent a day walking around the white cliffs in Dover the day before the London show and we couldn’t possibly be happier with the end result. The live part was shot at the O2 Academy Islington in London and we only performed the song twice that night so we had to make these takes count, so we went all out. It was pretty amazing that most of the audience knew all of the words even though we were a number of days away from the album’s release. Thanks for checking this out and we hope you enjoy it.”
