There are few things that get me excited…for a movie. Seeing “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara with a machine gun bra is definitely one of them.

Check out this new poster for Machete Kills, courtesy of EW, which shows Vergara as Desdemona, machin bra rockin’ hottie from the Robert Rodriguez-directed Grindhouse sequel.

In theaters September 13 from Open Road, here’s a hi-res look at the first ever image from Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills featuring sexy starlette Amber Heard atop of Danny Trejo as the film’s title character. Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, Edward James Olmos, Charlie Sheen, Elise Avellan, Electra Avellan, William Sadler, Lady Gaga, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, and Marko Zaror also star.

MTV talked to Rodriguez about the sequel, explaining why Lindsay Lohan didn’t return as the gun-toting April, “We thought to bring her back because we like that character, but it didn’t fit into the story.” He also talks about the next film, Machete Kills Again in Space, “[W]e’ll have to see what happens in this one. There are some cliffhangers. It’s gotta end in a very ‘Empire Strikes Back’ way. You gotta want to know what happens to everybody.”

In addition to Danny Trejo the film stars Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, William Sadler, Edward James Olmos, Charlie Sheen, Elise Avellan, Electra Avellan and Alexa Vega.

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. While many people think that what Lady Gaga does is unique, others claim that Madonna (amongst others throughout history) has done it before. Regardless of any of that, Gaga certainly takes a lot of inspiration from the horror genre. It’s obvious in her music videos as well as in her…well, let’s just say in her odd dress assortments.

Now, horror legend himself Clive Barker has gone to his fans via his Facebook about one of her over-the-top masks, asking if they think she took inspiration from one of the greatest horror icons of all time: Pinhead. Now, the mask doesn’t resemble Pinhead from the films. However, when one reads the description of Pinhead from Barker’s The Hellbound Heart, suddenly things start to click a bit more.

Here’s the description from the book: “Its voice, unlike that of its companion, was light and breathy-the voice of an excited girl. Every inch of its head had been tattooed with an intricate grid, and at every intersection of horizontal and vertical axes a jeweled pin driven through to the bone. Its tongue was similarly decorated.” (Hellbound Heart, Ch. 1)

Robert Rodriguez wrapped Machete Kills over the summer and, I assume, is now deep in post on the project. In addition to Danny Trejo the film stars Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, William Sadler, Edward James Olmos, Charlie Sheen, Elise Avellan and Electra Avellan. Oh and Alexa Vega. Yeah we posted a somewhat frisky pic of her a few months back and now we’ve got an even more… revealing… look at her character. The pic originally comes from Rolling Stone (via Collider).

Head inside for the pic! And answer me this, doesn’t it look sort of like Vega’s head has been photoshopped onto someone else’s (amazing) body? Not to say that Vega herself isn’t fit (and it could definitely be her), but there’s something weird about the light here. READ MORE

Open Road is getting into the horror genre, hardcore. With Silent Hill: Revelation primed for theaters next weekend, they’ve now got their next sequel on their hands.

The company behind The Grey has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Machete Kills, The Robert Rodriguez-directed sequel that brings back Danny Trejo as the blade-savvy former Mexican Federale, reports Deadline. Check out the first official image inside!

Michelle Rodriguez is back, and Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Marko Zaror and Mel Gibson also star. Open Road CEO Tom Ortenberg sealed the deal. Kyle Ward wrote the script based on a story by Marcel Rodriguez and Rodríguez.

“This is the second film in what is meant to be a trilogy. Trejo returns as ex-Federale agent who is recruited by the President of the United States for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war and anarchy across the planet.”

Lady Gaga Gets Eaten By A Lion In The New Die Antwoord Video

Okay, so it’s not actually Lady Gaga. But it’s pretty obvious who Die Antwoord is mocking in their latest video “Fatty Boom Boom”. A blonde woman in ridiculous glasses wearing a meat dress is forced to run through the slums of South Africa after her guards get into a bit of a shoot out. From there on, the band takes over the vast majority of the screen doing their usual insane dances, creepy visuals flowing left and right. Halfway through the video, “Lady Gaga” goes into a dentist/gynecologist’s office (I’m sorry, what?) due to pain she’s having in her nether bits. While I won’t say what comes out, just know that it’s pretty damn disgusting. Check out the video below.

Samuel Jackson Tortured In ‘Oldboy,’ While ‘Machete Kills Martial Arts Action Star

Marko Zaror (pictured below), an international martial arts action star, just finished filming Machete Kills, the sequel to Robert Rodriguez’s cult favorite Machete, Twitch was the first to learn. Zaror joins an all-star ensemble cast, including Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, and Jessica Alba. Zaror, dubbed the Bruce Lee of Latin America, is cast as Zaror (which happens to be his real last name), henchman to Mel Gibson’s villainous character.

In other brief casting news, the LA Times reports that Samuel Jackson (above) and Bruce Hornsby have joined the cast of the English-language remake of Chan-wook Park’s cult favorite Oldboy. Jackson will play the man who is being tortured by the hero (Josh Brolin) in a key revenge scene. Fans of the original will remember the scene as perhaps the most visceral and disturbing of the film. Protagonist Dae-su Oh exacts vengeance on a man who once guarded him by extracting his teeth one-by-one with the claw end of a hammer. The new film, which begins shooting this fall in Louisiana and New York, won’t go with the tooth removal, instead inflicting a different kind of torture, says the mag.

The duo star alongside Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley in the Spike Lee-directed thriller. In the 2003 Korean original, a man gets kidnapped and held in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. Suddenly, he’s released and given money, a cell phone and clothes and is set on a path to discover who destroyed his life so he can take revenge. READ MORE

I love black metal. I really do. But somebody needs to tell some of these artists that a good chunk of their names are completely illegible. Chicken scrawls do not make for a good band logo, at least in my opinion. But what it CAN do is turn pop artists names into something rather amusing. Below is a great picture that takes eleven well known mainstream pop artists and gives their name the good ole’ black metal chicken scrawl logo treatment. It’s been confirmed this evening that Vanessa Hudgens (pictured; Sucker Punch) is on set filming for Robert Rodriguez’ Machete Kills, which also stars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, Edward James Olmos, Charlie Sheen, Elise Avellan, Electra Avellan, William Sadler, Lady Gaga and Alexa Vega (wewwww). “The sequel finds the titular ex-federale (Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico’s leading cartel dealer.”

Brendan Fraser will star in writer-director Damian Lee’s action-thriller Split Decision for Rollercoaster Entertainment and Vortex Words + Pictures, says THR. Fraser plays a father who must defend his two children from a pair of murderers. “The plot kicks off when two children (Holly Deveaux and Christian Martin) witness a murder while on a wilderness camping trip with a family friend (Daniel Kash). When two criminal brothers, (Dominic Purcell and Ethan Suplee) start to hunt down the children to silence them, Fraser’s father-figure sets out to rescue them.” Amy Price-Francis appears as the children’s mother. Principal photography begins shortly on location in Ontario.

The site also reports that Kevin Zegers has signed on to join Harald Zwart’s fantasy epic The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones for Constantin Film and Screen Gems. Zegers will play Alec Lightwood, a reluctant Shadowhunter who would rather read about demons than fight them. Lily Collins stars in the film, based on Cassandra Clare’s mega-bestseller. Zegers joins a cast that also includes Jamie Campbell Bower, Lena Headey and Jared Harris. “Set in modern-day New York, the plot centers on Clary Fray (Collins), who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret tribe of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect the world from demons.” Mortal Instruments is scheduled to begin shooting this month in Toronto.

After directing the acclaimed documentaries Deliver Us From Evil and West of Memphis, Amy Berg is set to make her narrative helming debut with Every Secret Thing, a feature adaptation of Laura Lippman’s 2004 mystery novel that will star Diane Lane, reports Variety. Nicole Holofcener wrote the script that “Follows two 11-year-old girls who are convicted of murdering a baby and incarcerated until they turn 18. Upon their release, children start to go missing; as the police turn their attention to the duo, the mystery surrounding the original murder takes the fore.” Lane is attached to play one of the girls’ mother, who has long known that her daughter is a gifted liar.

Remember the days when films boasted of having “a cast of thousands”? Probably not, but maybe you’ve read about them. Soundtrack To NBA Baller Beats Announced

If you follow Mr. Disgusting on twitter, you’ll know that he is an avid follower of basketball. And if I were to guess, I’d assume that he’s also a phenomenal dancer. As in he’d rock the two-step followed by a Charleston and finish it all off with a tap dance routine that would leave Dulé Hill in tears. But all of this is besides the point.

The point here is NBA Baller Beats, a new game coming out for XBox Kinect on Sept. 11th. The game uses an official Spalding NBA game ball replica and your body motions to match your dribbles and “passes” to the beat of licensed music. I highly doubt that the game comes with a warranty for all the lamps, vases, tables, chairs, glasses, and whatever else is in your game room that you are going to destroy once that ball leaves your hand.

Let me clarify that headline: I don’t want Lady Gaga dead. I just really, really want her to stop putting out albums and for her music to stop playing on radios. I swear, if I hear “Edge Of Glory” one more time, I’ll rip off my ears and mail them to her with a note simply stating, “This is your fault.”

Anyways, getting to the story, Lady Gaga was struck in the head by a pole during the third of three concerts in New Zealand. The incident occurred during her performance of “Judas” (much better version here). Gaga walked off the stage for a few moments before returning to finish the show. Her make-up artist confirmed that Gaga had suffered a concussion. You can see video footage of the incident below. READ MORE

According to a possible slip from Will Smith, pop star Lady Gaga might very well be making her Hollywood acting debut in the upcoming sci-fi comedy Men In Black 3.

Smith stated, “We have a couple of celebrity cameos, but I cannot reveal who they are. We must keep as a surprise that Lady Gaga appears.”

If she is in the movie, make up and wardrobe won’t have to do much. Just tell her to show up as she normally dresses and they can kick back and take a breather. Hell, just give ‘em the day off.

Lady Gaga is back at it with another outlandish video, this time for her single ‘Judas‘. Norman Reedus (Blade II, The Boondock Saints) plays Judas, which actually seems somewhat fitting. The song comes from her upcoming album, ‘Born This Way‘, which comes out May 23rd. Check out the video after the jump.

So, in a move that everyone saw coming, Weird Al has released a parody of a Lady Gaga song. Specifically, he mocked ‘Born This Way‘ by releasing ‘I Perform This Way‘. However, there’s more here than meets the eye. Apparently, Weird Al contacted Lady Gaga‘s camp to gain permission to release this track, even though by court rulings he has no need to do so. She replied with a “No.” So, Weird Al is going to make the song a free mp3 for anyone to download in the near future AND he’s asking people who enjoy the music to donate to the Human Rights Campaign, which is where he would’ve donated all the money he made from it anyways. A recent poll conducted by U.K. dating website Tastebuds.fm shows that people who listen to Metallica and Nirvana are far more likely to have sex on the first date, compared to people who listen to Coldplay and Lady Gaga. Well, yeah! I could’ve called that one a mile away! Who wants to bang it out to ‘Speed Of Sound‘ when you can rock out ‘Rape Me‘? Was that in poor taste? Meh, whatever.

This is the first mention I’ve made in the music section about the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear situation that is going on in Japan. It’s not because I’m an insensitive prick (okay, maybe just a little), but it’s because there wasn’t really much I could relate to the situation. But if we think about it, the people in that situation are dealing with horrors far worse than we can imagine. They’ve lost their homes, their families and their livelihood. But now, we can help.
