In case you’ve never seen them, Destructoid has been doing “Hey Ash, Whatcha Playing?” for some time now. They are usually hilarious, especially if you have played the game Ash is playing in the current episode. I recommend the BioShock one. Becareful thought because it has a big spoiler in it. I just saw this now, im about 10 days late, but I figured I post it up anyhow. Valve has upgraded their 360 servers or their “network infrastructure” because of the large demand of online Left 4 Deading. You may have noticed laggy online games, I know I definitely did. Well they did some upgrading, and have added more dedicated servers to keep from laggy games.
They have also stated they will be monitoring the online gaming to make any upgrades if the need arises in the future. Did I ever tell you about the time my friend Keith……
So when we record this weeks podcast, we are mainly going to be talking Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2. So we thought, what does everyone else think? Post a comment about Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2. So hopefully by now you have spent at least 1 night this week awake and destroying zombies for hours with some friends. Left 4 Dead 2 is out, and there is enough new fun stuff to keep you busy for a while.
Something you can look forward to is level specific zombies, and weather, objectives, etc. For instance, in Hard Rain they take the south’s wonderful hurricane weather, and they nail you with it. I mean just destroy you. Cars flipping over, flooding, epic downpours, thunder and lighting. And they really drowns out the sound of oncoming zombies. READ MORE
If you haven’t played the demo, normally I would say sucks for you. But this is one of those games where the demo is such a brutal tease, you crave the game. You want it. You toss and turn at night dreaming of zombie outbreaks. You wake up in a cold sweat wondering, “was I dreaming?”
Left 4 Dead 2 features 4 new main characters, Coach, a high-school football coach, Rochelle, a news reporter for a local television station, Ellis, a mechanic, and Nick a gambler and conman. The new group of zombie killers will start their journey in Savannah, Georgia and end in New Orleans, Louisiana.

With Left 4 Dead 2 less than a 2 weeks away, it’s time we started getting excited. I myself can’t wait to get back that feeling a got the first time I jumped online with 3 of my friends, grabbed a shotgun and went to town on some zombies. The 1st time I got punched in the face by a tank. Barfed on by a boomer. Or the many times I threw a molotov at an enemy and lit a friend up instead.

If you didn’t get it early with your pre-orders, you can now download the Left 4 Dead 2 demo on Xbox Live, and on Steam/PC. The demo is played in “The Parish” campaign, set in the New Orleans French Quarter. You can play 1 to 4 players over local or Internet connections on both the Xbox 360 and PC (with two-player split screen available on the Xbox 360). The game is out for the 360 and PC November 18th.

Left 4 Dead 2 was revealed at this years E3, and a lot of people are up in arms over it. Mainly because they feel Left 4 Dead (1) wasn’t a big enough game, and hasn’t yet lost it’s playability. Though the release of L4D2 is still 5 months away, there are many many Valve members protesting the purchase of the game, which comes out November 17th for the PC and Xbox 360. Get your calendars out and mark down November 17th as that’s the day we’ll all be logging on to either Xbox 360 or the PC to kick some zombie ass in Left 4 Dead 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the zombie smash hit from last year.
