“Get Over Here!” Otherwise You’ll Miss This New Trailer For ‘Mortal Kombat Legacy’ Season 2

The first season of ‘Mortal Kombat Legacy’ was a gritty and pretty spectacular reimagining of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Like a good MK sequel, it will add new fighters to the roster, including Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kenshi, and Ermac. You can expect more rivalries, bloodshed, and origin stories as the warriors fight for Earthrealm. Personally, I’m most looking forward to seeing Sub-Zero and Scorpion fight, because I can never get enough of that.

No word on when we can expect it outside of a nebulous “Koming Soon,” but I’m sure the wait will be worth it. That first season was fantastic. Grab some popcorn and check out the new trailer after the jump.

WATCH: ‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy’ Episode 4 With Kitana And Mileena

The latest episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy has gone live, featuring a whole slew of new characters – Kitana, Mileena, Shao Kahn, Queen Sindel AND Baraka – and our first look at director Kevin Tancharoen’s interpretation of Edenia. The episode is set outside of the “real world” entirely, and has quite a few animation sequences (most likely because of budget constraints). Despite looking extremely cheap (more so than past episodes), I think the epic scope they’re setting up is really admirable (and fun!).

Tancharoen who directed and produced the popular, unofficial “Mortal Kombat: Rebirth” fan short that garnered over 10 million views worldwide, is bringing the same immersive directing style to this live-action digital new media series. Fans will be able to delve deep into the history of the warriors they know and love including “Sub-Zero” and “Scorpion.”
