Interview: Travis Beacham Talks ‘Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero’

Nothing seems to stop the invading monsters that have risen from the murky depths of the Pacific Ocean. Known as the Kaiju, these sea monsters are waging an apocalyptic war against humanity. The “Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero” graphic novel, follows key players from the movie as they begin to build the Jaeger, a giant robot-fighting machine, which will one day fight against the Kaiju. The graphic novel is written by Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham, who spoke to Bloody Disgusting about the beginning stages of writing a comic book script, bringing characters from his screenplay into another medium, and working with director Guillermo Del Toro. ‘Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero’ Cover Art Revealed

Legendary Comics and Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro gave WonderCon attendees a surprise treat as they revealed the cover art for the graphic novel, Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero (see below). The fully-painted cover was created by Alex Ross.

“Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero” is a prequel to the upcoming film, which follows the first time the Kaiju monsters attack the Earth. The book is written by Pacific Rim screenwriter, Travis Beacham with artwork from Sean Chen, Yvel Guichet, and Pericles Junior. READ MORE

[NYCC '12]Tim Bradstreet’s Cover For ‘The Tower Chronicles’ Revealed at Legendary Comics Panel

Tim Bradstreet (“Hellblazer”, “The Punisher”) revealed his cover for the new Legendary Comics “The Tower Chronicles” today at NYCC during the Legendary Panel. The title character was developed by studio founder Thomas Tull, and developed by Matt Wagner. The first chapter of which came out earlier this month. Review: ‘The Tower Chronicles: GeistHawk’ #1
