The series doesn’t offer a whole lot in the form of originality, but if you are looking for a fun horror romp that delivers some blood, gore, ultra violence, and plenty of character intrigue then you’ll definitely want to check out this 5 page preview of the series’ fourth issue due out this Wednesday. The “Life Of Agony” front-man’s recent mini-series from IDW Publishing titled “WIRE HANGERS” has been a very pleasant surprise as it has delivered not only some very iconic moments, but also fantastic artwork to go along with a similarly engaging storyline. Though the series has yet to be a runaway hit for the singer turned comic book author you can definitely chalk this one up to a hidden gem. When we previewed the first issue of “WIRE HANGERS” last month, I mentioned the very impressive visuals that the artwork lent to the story. But this month I have to ask: am i the only one who sees striking similarities to Ben Templesmith’s (“CHOKER”, “30 DAYS OF NIGHT”) character artwork in “CHOKER”? Maybe I’m just losing it, after all I do read 15 to 20 comics a week, but the second I saw the following preview I had to double-check and make sure the artist wasn’t doing a guest spot for the title. In any event inside you can read the first 5 pages of the second issue before it drops tomorrow.
