Limp Bizkit‘s Gold Cobra is officially slated for a June 28th release date. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m personally really excited to hear it, especially since Wes is on the record. So, to give you a taste of the new material, after the jump is a new track entitled Why Try. Check it out and let us know what you think!
The answer to this headline is no, they did not. A guy was drunk, got pissed off at his roommate and killed him over a dumb fight, that’s all. Want the details? The Brisbane Times is reporting that two men (who were roommates) and two women were hanging out when 24 year old James Madden put some Limp Bizkit on the apartment stereo. His roommate, 48 year old Emmanuelle McPherson, objected and wanted to turn off the music. Madden proceeded to break a bottle over McPherson’s head and punch and stomp on his face, killing him. The two women helped Madden bundle McPherson up, load him into a cart, take him down to a creek and then dump into the water. Although Madden has claimed his innocence, he supposedly admitted to the murder to an undercover police officer who was posing as his cellmate.
So, Fred Durst hit Twitter again and spilled the beans about the official release date for Limp Bizkit‘s upcoming album ‘Gold Cobra’. Apparently, we can expect it to come out June 7th, though again, I’ll believe it when I see it. Hopefully they got pissed when they recorded the album and it’s fully of songs of the heavy persuasion.
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst snuck in via Twitter a tentative release date of June 7th for the new LB album, ‘Gold Cobra’. I’m somewhat skeptical, but if it’s true, then I’m pretty eager to hear the new stuff. Let’s be honest guys, the music of Limp Bizkit is actually pretty sweet. Don’t believe me? Just listen to Boiler, that song kicks ass! Plus, Wes Borland is a huge horror fan, so it’s always cool to support someone in the community.
Fred Durst recently announced on Twitter that ‘Gold Cobra’, the latest Limp Bizkit record should be finished ready to press by the end of the month. What do you think? Will this record ever see the light of day or do we have another ‘Chinese Democracy’ on our hands?
Combichrist is not only opening up for Rammstein at Madison Square Garden in New York City (Dec. 11th), they have also been tapped as the direct openers for Rammstein in Montreal (Dec. 9th)! Not only that, Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit, Black Light Burns) will be joining Combichrist as guitarist for both shows. Color me extremely jealous of both dates! Make sure to check out our exclusive interview with Wes Borland HERE.
According to Metal Hammer Fred Durst has leaked the song “Walking Away” from their upcoming full length “Gold Cobra”. Listen to it, let me know what you think.

For the final installment of Bloody-Disgusting at Rock on the Range 2010, I got the opportunity to sit down with Wes Borland, guitarist of Limp Bizkit and singer/guitarist/bassist/keyboardist/programmer/producer (whew!) of Black Light Burns. We spoke about Wes being back in Limp Bizkit, the status of the second Black Light Burns album and the influence of horror on him as an artist and a musician. Unfortunately, due to Wes being absurdly popular and everyone wanting an interview, we got cut a bit short. However, keep your fingers crossed as there might be more articles in the future coming from Wes! Check after the jump for the interview! READ MORE
According to Mr. Durst’s Twitter the following song titles are set, in no particular order, for Limp Bizkit’s “Gold Cobra”. From the looks of it are there are 18 tracks and the track list is as follows:

Either you love ‘em or hate ‘em… and judging by the comments left under this YouTube video previewing the new album, there are still surprisingly quite a few Limp Bizkit fans out there. The band plans on releasing ‘Gold Cobra’ in 2010 and will be the first album to feature the original lineup since 2000′s ‘Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water’.
Sounds like the same Limp Bizkit I remember from years ago, and I guess depending on your taste… that’s either a good thing or a bad thing. READ MORE
Limp Bizkit announced that the title of their upcoming album will be “Gold Cobra”, and plan on releasing it sometime early 2010 via Interscope/Polydor.
Fred Durst had this to say back in June about the album… “It’s not going to be a watered down version of Limp Bizkit, it’s going to be a more explosive, more addictive, more driven version of Limp Bizkit.”
There are soo many things I can say right now, but I’ll just leave it up to you guys. READ MORE
