If you’re visiting this site I’m going to go ahead and take a leap of faith by saying a majority of you are insatiable gorehounds. You appetite for all things red and squishy is bottomless. If when the on-screen psycho revs up his chainsaw gets your nether regions aflutter, than this is definitely the list for you.
Other than being one of the most terrifying tools created by man, the chainsaw is also a weapon favored by many an iconic serial killer or out of control madman. The sound it makes is unmistakable, and when you hear it, you know someone’s day is about to get ruined. Head past the break for thirteen of the most bloody and brutal chainsaw appearances in video games. Just make sure you have the stomach for it first. There’s nothing quite as gross as cleaning vomit off a keyboard. Ick.READ MORE
Finally,Lollipop Chainsaw has a release date, and it’s not too far away. Suda51′s next game, starring the sultry chainsaw-wielding cheerleader Juliet Starling and a helluva lot of zombies will be adding some much needed color to the zombie genre this June. It’s fitting, since Suda51′s last game, the incredible Shadows of the Damned, came out on June 21, a year before Lollipop Chainsaw.
Look for it on June 12 in the States, the 14th in Japan, and the 15th in Europe, for the PS3 and Xbox 360. READ MORE

Guess what? I have something that you don’t. But there’s good news, because this thing that I have is something you can actually get, and before you ask, no, it’s not my good looks. To celebrate the impending release of Lollipop Chainsaw we’re giving away five incredibly cool pin-up calendars that feature the chainsaw-wielding femme fatale, Juliet Starling. Who deserves her own calendar more than a lollipop-loving cheerleader with a fondness for chainsawing zombies in half? No one, that’s who.
In case you need a little extra motivation, you should know that these calendars I have have all twelve months of the year on them. Now that’s cool, right? To win one of these things all I need you to do is comment telling me your favorite video game heroine. In case you need an idea of what I’m looking for, the list of badass video game women is a long one, and can include: Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine, Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft, Half-Life’s Alyx Vance, Halo’s Cortana, StarCraft’s Sarah Kerrigan, Uncharted’s Elena Fisher, Parasite Eve’s Aya Brea, Metroid’s Samus Aran, and like, a billion others. You don’t need to sign up to vote, so go nuts!
It might not have a release date, but that’s not going to stop us from talking about Lollipop Chainsaw preorder incentives! I’m usually not one for preordering games, but as a horror fan, GameStop’s Ash costume might be worth it. If you’re not one to shy away from tough decisions, preordering the game at GameStop will let you dress as Ash from Evil Dead. If you’re a PowerUp Rewards member you’ll also get Mindless Self Indulgence’s Jimmy Urine (who’s also working on the game’s soundtrack)
If all that doesn’t tickle your fashionista fancy, Amazon is offering a Rockabilly costume, and Best Buy has a Goth Girl and a Foxy Funk outfit. If you’d like to make a more informed decision, head past the jump to see all of the costumes in action. READ MORE
Designer Suda 51 is known for his punk rock edge. You can see and hear it in all of his games, from No More Heroes to Shadows of the Damned. His next game, Lollipop Chainsaw will continue this tradition by bringing in the electrifying work of James Euringer, or Little Jimmy Urine. Euringer is the front-man, songwriter, and programmer for the band, Mindless Self Indulgence, as well as another band called The Left Rights. I can’t say I’ve heard of either, but I’m also admittedly a little musically illiterate.
Euringer’s work will be heard in the boss bights and he’ll even voice Zed, one of the bosses, who you can check out after the jump. Lollipop Chainsaw doesn’t yet have a release date, but it will be out this year for the PS3 and Xbox 360. In related news, stay tuned for a special Lollipop Chainsaw-related event that will happen very soon.READ MORE

It’s no secret the world is ending this year. There are just too many ways for it all to come to a crashing halt, whether it’s by alien invasion, zombie infection, nuclear fallout, or any number of other possibilities — the point is, tell your loved ones how you feel because we’re all going to die. While I’m spreading some truth sauce on you, you should know there’s a pretty good chance a majority of us will die slowly and very painfully. You could be eaten alive by the hungry undead, die of radiation sickness, or you could find yourself in an alien’s sex dungeon where it probes you daily until it grows tired of you and blasts you with its Raygun.
Once January 2013 rolls around there probably won’t be many of us left. Our once glorious civilization, founded on the idea that you can call someone a douchenozzle and not get reprimanded because everything you say online is anonymous. However, there is still some hope. Sure, most of us will meet with gruesome deaths, but there are some here that will survive. How long you survive is entirely up to how intelligent, physically fit, and resourceful you are. If you’d like to increase your chances of making it in the inevitable apocalypse, here are ten games coming out this year that can help you out. READ MORE
Every hero has a villain. Batman has the Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, I have clowns, and now it’s time to meet Juliet Starling’s opposition. Swan is his name, and he’s the cause of the zombie apocalypse in the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw. This is a bizarre game, though really, I wouldn’t expect anything less than strange from the creative mind behind No More Heroes and the lovely Shadows of the Damned.
In it you play as Juliet, a cheerleader at San Romero High School, which has recently been overcome by the flesh-eating undead. Thankfully, Juliet is my favorite type of cheerleader — the kind that carries a chainsaw with her at all times — and it’s up to her to sever every last zombie that’s unfortunate enough to get in her way. With the help of a disembodied jock’s head, naturally. head past the jump for a brand new trailer, complete with blood and geeky, gothy mayhem! READ MORE
Suda 51 is a strange dude who makes even stranger games, and while his work has had limited appeal in the past, his next effort might buck the trend. I mean, come on, the game is called Lollipop Chainsaw, features a chearleader with what looks like an oral fixation for lollipops, and zombies filled with pink blood. This game doesn’t really need a trailer, it’s premise sells itself. But here it is, and it’s exactly what you’d expect.
I’ve always wanted to cut a zombie in half and be greeted by a beautiful rainbow. Really, I think that’s what video games have been missing. I don’t know about you but I am definitely intrigued, and those rainbow-spewing zombies might also have me a little aroused. Lollipop Chainsaw brings a little color to the world when it releases sometime next year for the PS3 and Xbox 360. READ MORE
As if the title wasn’t enough to sell you on this game already, let me take a moment to fill you in on exactly what Lollipop Chainsaw is all about. First off, it stars a zombie slaying cheerleader named Juliet Starling, who has to use her incredible acrobatic skills and an assortment of cheerleading moves to vanquish the zombies that attack her school. It’s also an action/horror game that’s being worked on by Suda 51′s Grasshopper Manufacture, otherwise known as the team behind the mind-blowingly incredible Shadows of the Damned.
Not quite sold? How about the fact that Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka is scoring the soundtrack? Still not sold? Man, you’re a tough sell. If I were a car dealer this is the point that I’d start pulling out the big guns, so I think I’ll do just that. Lollipop Chainsaw has pretty pink gore. That’s right, there’s no need to rub your eyes and re-read that last sentence because you read it right the first time. This game has pink blood. Oh, and it’ll also be coming to both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Now wipe yourself off and head past the break for some screenshots. READ MORE
