Rockstar Mayhem Energy Festival 2013 Lineup Announced And It’s AWESOME

The sixth annual Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival lineup has been unveiled and I’m already beginning to lose my mind! The festival will be headlined by shock rocker/horror director Rob Zombie along with Five Finger Death Punch and will also see performances from Children Of Bodom, Machine Head, Behemoth, Job For A Cowboy, and many more.

Personally I’m very excited to see Rob Zombie again as well as get a first chance to see Behemoth, Amon Amarth, and Battlecross.

Tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday at 12pm local time. The full 26-date trek and lineup can be seen below.

Also below is a FFDP tour reel that features new music from the band’s upcoming summer release. The video features samples of the band’s new song “Here To Die”. READ MORE

Machine Head Frontman Undergoes Emergency Surgery

Machine Head has pulled out of the Dethklok tour due to frontman Robb Flynn needing to undergo emergency surgery on his…well, on his… Oh, for the love of…IT’S ON HIS NUTS! Okay, so not so much but his nuts are in excruciating amounts of pain due to a hernia in his guts which press down upon his testicles. As a result of this surgery, doctors told Robb that he couldn’t sing for a few weeks. Below is a message from Robb explaining the situation as well as a photo of him in the hospital.

Dethklok Release NSFW Video For “I Ejaculate Fire”

Okay, horrible facial disfigurement aside, someone REALLY needs to call the doctor! When your nether bits are engulfed in flames and can double as a flamethrower, my recommendation is a hefty dose of penicillin, STAT! But no, I guess that’s asking a bit too much.

In Dethklok‘s video for “I Ejaculate Fire”, a pharaoh receives a delightful “offering” from a woman who just so happens to be a demon/succubus/Smokey The Bear’s worst nightmare. From that point on, the pharaoh roams the lands, “showering” people with his flames of lust. It all comes to a header when he runs into said STD-ridden woman and a good ole’ fashioned standoff ensues. Who is the winner? Check below for the answer! But be warned! This video, even though it’s animated, is pretty NSFW. So tread carefully!

For details on the upcoming Dethalbum III, check here. Dethklok has also just announced a headlining tour with Machine Head, All That Remains, and The Black Dahlia Murder. Tour dates can be found here. READ MORE

Machine Head Releases Nightmarish Video For “Darkness Within”

Machine Head have released a video for “Darkness Within”, which comes off their latest release Unto The Locust. The video, which was shot in Prague, Czech Republic, features one nightmarish vision after another. A gaunt, almost skeletal woman with maggots in her mouth. People fighting, seemingly trying to kill each other. Demented marionette puppets. It’s pretty much everything a horror fan could want from a music video! Check it out below and leave your thoughts in the comments!

‘Machine Head’ to Unleash Hell on Spring Breakers

Also from Joker Films is Machine Head, from director Jim Valdez. Being sold at the AFM next month, the pic stars Sharon Hinnendael, Nicole Zeoli and Cristina Corigliano.

The desert of Los Ranchos, CA isn’t your standard spring break hot spot but when Rachel’s high powered father gives her the keys to a beautiful desert home, she decides to make the most of it. Spring break will most certainly be filled with her friends, some boys, cocktails and fun.

Once away from the city, they find themselves being followed by a menacing hot rod on the highway. They quickly wish they’d gone anywhere else as a masked stalker hunts them through the desert heat. Finally at the lavish vacation pad, the trouble they had on the road appears to be a distant memory…until the doorbell rings late one night and Machine Head unleashes a hell unlike they’ve ever seen.READ MORE

Robb Flynn (Machine Head) Covers Black Sabbath In Tribute To Debbie Abono

MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn has recorded audio and video of an acoustic cover of BLACK SABBATH’s “Die Young” song from the classic “Heaven and Hell” album for free download in tribute to the late Debbie Abono, who sadly passed away on the same day as legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio.  In a statement made at the beginning of the video (which was recorded the day after Debbie’s passing and which can be viewed at this location), Robb says, “I don’t know why I recorded this song, it doesn’t really have relevance to Debbie or Dio, but I was sad and depressed and it was the only thing that made sense in the world.”

There are no plans to officially release Flynn’s version of “Die Young”, but an MP3 version of the track is available for free download HERE.

Debbie Abono, a well-respected and much-loved manager and promotional machine behind some of San Francisco Bay Area’s strongest metal bands (POSSESSED, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS, VIO-LENCE, SKINLAB), passed away on May 16 at approximately 9:59 a.m. PST after a battle with cancer. She was 80 years old.
