A haunted writer in an isolated castle is tormented by sleepless nights and visions of a girl named Alice. He finds himself becoming a symptom of his own invention.
“Now all my nightmares know my name.”
He is Lewis Carroll. Terrified of what waits for him each night.
The film, penned by Lough, is the first in a planned franchise and is a sexploitation-serial-killer-slasher-road-movie circa 1989.
Lough (“Bomb the System”) reckons “Splatter Sisters” could create a subgenre, which he calls “Skinemax Cinema,” based on the direct-to-cable movies of his childhood.
Wow, I can’t even believe I’m reporting this but, after several long years, Marilyn Manson‘s long gestured Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll is actually filming!
While there are no other casting details at this time, Manson himself tweeted that he will be playing Lewis Carroll in the film based on his own screenplay.
Lily Cole, Tilda Swinton and Evan Rachel Wood were all once attached. Anthony Silva co-wrote the screenplay. READ MORE
Actor/musician Johnny Depp and half of his band The Kids were rocking out at the Duesenberg Guitar’s NAMM after-party this past Saturday when they were joined by half of shock rocker Alice Cooper‘s band (Tommy Henriksen and Glen Sobel). After Depp played two songs, Marilyn Manson came out on stage to perform a few of his big hits as well as a cover of “20th Century Boy”. After Manson left, Depp introduced Cooper and the band played five more songs (obviously kicking out “School’s Out”. But the night wasn’t over as Depp then called out Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, who sang four songs, including a cover of “House Of The Rising Sun”. Lastly, Depp brought out all the special guests for a rendition of “Come Together”. Below are a few photos and the full setlist.

Mutha f*cking Friday is upon us! So you know what that means, right? Time to get twisted up in here! For this week we’re heading back pre-millenium to 1999 for Marilyn Manson‘s “Coma White” video. The video mimics the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy with Manson playing JFK and then-fiancee Rose McGowan playing Jacqueline Kennedy. It was highly controversial upon release due to the coincidental events that took place at the same time: the Columbine High School shootings and the death of John F. Kennedy, Jr.
The video also features Matthew McGrory, who fans might recognize as Tiny from House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.
“Coma White” comes off of Manson’s album Mechanical Animals. You can pick up a digital copy via iTunes. READ MORE

Camille and Kennerly Kitt, who are known on the internet as The Harp Twins, have posted a dual harp arrangement of “Sweet Dreams”, which was originally written and performed by The Eurythmics but reached a new generation with Marilyn Manson’s more sinister cover. The video, which you can see below, shows the two harpists performing the track next to a moss covered stone home in the middle of a forest (it’d make for a fantastic horror movie location).

YouTube comedic music mangler Andy Rehfeldt is at it again! This time he’s taken the wildly popular Marilyn Manson track “The Beautiful People” and given it a polka twist while still leaving Manson’s iconic harsh screams. It’s definitely worth checking out if for nothing more than a good laugh.

Going to a concert is often the very best place to do some people watching. There are always the type of people who view a concert as a time to dress like their favorite band, seeing it like some Halloween-esque occasion where they can emulate and, in a strange manner, become the person they so idolize. Myself? I wear a t-shirt and some jeans. I look a bit like a schlub. It’s what I’m used to.
In any case, it’s still fascinating to see how people dress when they go to a concert. And I’m apparently not the only one who thinks so. Photographer James Mollison, in 2008, took panoramic photos of people who were attending various concerts, be it Marilyn Manson, 50 Cent, Rod Stewart, Motorhead, or many others. Check out the gallery below or a cool audio/visual journey here. READ MORE
Electronic group Aesthetic Perfection have released an official video for their new single “Antibody”. The song comes from an as-of-yet-untitled fourth album, which has an undetermined 2014 release date. The video was directed and edited by Mitch Massie, who is the man responsible for the now infamous “Forced Gender Reassignment” music video from Cattle Decapitation. The video reminds me of something that Marilyn Manson would do, with lots of latex, disgusting teeth, colored contacts, etc…
You can buy a digital copy of the single here and also check out the video below. READ MORE
Bloody-Disgusting is thrilled to team up with Hollywood, CA rockers Black Lodge to premiere the music video for “Drag”, the latest song from their upcoming debut album The Diary Of Tomahawk. The video, directed by Tanya Dahl, continues the story of female protagonist Tomahawk from the “Never Clean” video as we follow her journey into the world of dark magic and the shadowy world therein. Full of mystic imagery, the video is well worth checking out below.
Black Lodge founder and lead guitarist Johnny Royal explains, “In chapter 2 [Drag] of The Diary of Tomahawk, we begin to see the storyline unfold a lot more. Key characters are revealed and the nature of who they are begins to be seen. Tomahawk stumbles into a ritual being conducted by a coven of witches who are a part of The Great Lamia. During the ceremony, the Grand Master of The Great Lamia, Breviculum, is seen invoking the spirit-birth of the demi-god, The Raven. Tomahawk is given an ancient Akkadian-Sumerian celestial map and is offered the choice of finding out who she really is and where she is descended from.”
“Drag” was recorded at The Real Creative and was co-produced by Jeordie White (a.k.a. Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson and A Perfect Circle fame) as well as Lee Miles (Rise Against) and is mixed by Sean Beavin (Nine Inch Nails). The album will be released this year. Also, part 1 of a graphic novel done by Wayne Robinson (Marvel Comics: Wolverine, Captain America) is available for download now at the band’s Official Website. READ MORE
Just like movie remakes, cover songs can be really tricky. Some are fantastic while some are truly god awful that should have never even considered “paying homage” to the original. But when they nail it, oh boy is it something special. Look at the remakes of John Carpenter’s The Thing or Dawn Of The Dead, films that took elements of the original and created something new and exciting. Films like these got me thinking, “What are some of my favorite cover songs? What are songs that payed homage to a classic while creating something original?” So I put together five cover songs that I feel met these requirements for your enjoyment. Head on below for my 5 Great Cover Songs! READ MORE
Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has released a new painting, which you can see below, to celebrate the Easter holiday. The watercolor painting features a bunny/person hybrid standing in some kind of field with a hill in the background. Atop the hill are two crosses (and what appears to be the side of a third). The bunny/person hybrid has one bloody hand raised and there is a hole in the hand, suggesting that this creature was crucified.
Also something to note is that there are six fingers on the hand. This thing probably killed someone’s father and should be prepared to die. Just saying’.
Manson’s latest release was last year’s Born Villain. You can read our review here READ MORE
Legendary punk/thrash band Suicidal Tendencies has announced that they will be releasing their first new album in 13 years and it is fittingly entitled 13. This is going to cause a little bit of confusion as Black Sabbath‘s new album is also called 13. Ah well, such is life.
The new album will be released March 26th via Suicidal Records and was produced by Mike Muir and Paul Northfield (Rush, Dream Theater, Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Hole). This album marks the 30th anniversary of the band.
Lead vocalist Mike Muir states, “First, thank you for all the people that have patiently waited for this record. Now I will shut up and let the music do the talking.”

I’m not the biggest fan of Boss pedals but I can’t deny that they are incredibly popular and are used by pretty much some of the biggest names in the music industry. And now Boss will be adding three more pedals to their already pretty damn extensive lineup. The three pedals, which will make their debut at NAMM 2013, are the TE-2 Tera Echo, the DA-2 Adaptive Distortion, and the MO-2 Multi-Overtone. Below are videos that feature Rob Zombie/ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5 demonstrating their tones.
Actually, let me get an annoyance off my chest if you don’t mind. If a company is going to release a video promoting their new line of guitar FX pedals and want people to hear the sounds they are capable of, how about they DON’T let some wannabe dramatic voiceover guy talk the whole damn video? That too much to ask for? Sheesh… READ MORE
