Several weeks ago, drummer Ginger Fish quit Marilyn Manson, which wasn’t much of a surprise since not much was going on in the MM camp that I’ve heard of. Well, it turns out that he has joined up with Rob Zombie as the new touring drummer. Joey Jordison had to leave the band due to scheduling conflicts with Slipknot, who will be doing some festival tour dates this summer. Who else saw this coming a mile away? Anyways, check after the jump for a video of the new line-up rocking out the ever awesome ‘Superbeast’.
Television shows are an amazing thing, if you find a good one that is. We find a series we enjoy and it becomes a part of our lives. We connect with the characters, we hope our fears don’t come true and we follow the story closely. Just look at the people who followed Lost to a near religious craze. Or what about todays ‘Gleeks’? There is something about a well made TV show that lures people in and becomes something we talk about with our friends for hours.
One of my favorite parts of a good TV show is hearing a great theme, one that symbolizes all the things that I expect from the next 30-60 minutes. So, after hearing some great ones over the past several weeks, I put together a list of 10 Awesome TV Show Themes, which you can check after the jump. Heads up, not all of them are horror related, but they are all badass!
All That Remains have released a video for ‘The Last Time‘, which comes off their latest album, ‘For We Are Many‘. The video was shot and directed by Nathan Cox (Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Disturbed). Singer Phil Labonte had this to say: ”I’ve seen some footage and without a doubt this thing looks GREAT! It’s got…some killer acting, and our dumb asses jumping around like mad.”
I remember buying ‘Antichrist Superstar’ like it was yesterday: I was in Tokyo with my dad and I needed something to fill the silence during the long drives to the various tourist spots. Being that I was middle school at the time and I was a rebellious little scoundrel, the thought of getting away with buying a Marilyn Manson album was just too cool to not follow through on. My dad only realized what I’d bought when it was too late: I was hooked. This was an album that was metal, industrial, dirty, grimy, violent, sexual, full of horror and perfect for my testosterone-ridden, hyper-sexualized teenage angst.
To quote Corinthians (which is strange enough seeing as I’m Jewish AND an atheist), “When I was a child I spoke as a child I understood as a child I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things.” There came a time when I had to rein in my hormones and grow out of my rebelliousness, if for no other reason than it just became boring and stale. So, the question then arises, how does ‘Antichrist Superstar’ hold up considering this situation?

It’s been a bit since we’ve heard any news from Marilyn Manson. The last I heard was the shocking news that drummer Ginger Fish left the band after for 15 years of dedication. Well, to quell the dry spell a bit more, Marilyn Manson was a special model for Yoshiki’s (X Japan) fashion show, ‘Asia Girl Explosion’ (sounds like the title to a really bad porn OR yet another over-the-top awesome gore flick).
“When we came up with the concept for AGE, the first person I thought of was Marilyn Manson,” said Yoshiki. ”He is the fashion icon in rock’n'roll, and I’m very excited he agreed to be part of the show.”
Check after the jump for another photo of Marilyn Manson with Yoshiki as well as Marilyn Manson rocking the runway.
Hey all you rabid concert goers, BD Music’s own Vinny Mac has put together a list of five bands that he feels you have to see live before you leave this mortal coil. Check out the list after the jump and let us know YOUR favorite live acts.
In honor of the newly announced Rammstein tour dates, I thought I would voice my opinion on some concerts. I have been to a large number of concerts in the last decade and now I bring you the top five bands that, in my opinion, you must see live.

Hollywood’s standout theatrical rockers, Black Veil Brides and Toronto’s most visually stunning and musically exciting band, The Birthday Massacre (review HERE
), will team up to melt faces across the United States on a twenty city co-headlining tour this fall. They’ll be making stops in Atlanta, Houston, Anaheim and Seattle. Currently headlining shows throughout the US on their “Entertainment or Death” tour, the Black Veil Brides are riding high on the success of their chart topping debut album, We Stitch These Wounds, which came in at #36 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Billboard Independent at the time of album’s release. Currently headlining a UK tour as well as a coming off a successful East Coast sweep, The Birthday Massacre have been reaping heaps of critical praise for their recently released fourth album Pins and Needles on Metropolis Records which debuted at #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Supporting acts on the tour will be Dommin and Aural Vampire.
Black Veil Brides was formed in 2006 when 15-year-old vocalist, Andy Six, began seeking players to create a vision of a modern day heavy metal band, combining the theatrics and passion of Misfits, Motley Crue, and Kiss, with lyrical content that pertains to the downtrodden outcasts of society. With a goal of bringing back the community and passion that was once so prevalent in rock and roll, he moved to LA in 2009 recruiting Ashley Purdy (bass), Jinxx (guitar), Jake Pitts (lead guitar), and Christian Coma (drums). With passionate hook-laden instrumentals and lyrics of hope and strength, Black Veil Brides quickly gained a dedicated following of fans averaging over 10,000 plays a day on the band’s MySpace and 13 million views of their first video for their single, “Knives and Pens”.

Undoubtedly one of the most visually stunning and musically exciting bands to grace the scene in a long time, THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE have unleashed the video for the first single “In The Dark” from their upcoming album Pins And Needles (release date: September 14, 2010 via Metropolis Records). Independently produced, directed, filmed and everything else needed to bring their unique, singular vision to the screen by the band, members of Rue Morgue, and their friends, the epically arresting video premiered at Rue Morgue’s Festival of Fear that took place last weekend in Toronto.
‘I LOVE this song. I love it, I love it, I love it,” says vocalist Chibi of the song. “The chorus gets inside my head and plays over and over. I love some of the bitterness of the lyrics here, but to such a pretty melody. To me this song is about how fragile we all are, and how callous some people can be, about how even if you’re with someone and technically you aren’t alone – that can still be one of the loneliest places.’
Marilyn Manson co-founder and original guitarist Scott Putesky, aka Daisy Berkowitz, has teamed up with Florida’s electro-punk darlings Kill Miss Pretty to write and record a new album for release this summer.
The new CD will include their recently released single collaboration “Judy Garland”, as well as new KMP songs and a remake of the early Marilyn Manson & Spooky Kids track “She’s not My Girlfriend”.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Marilyn Manson’s insurance coverage will pay $175,000 to settle a lawsuit brought against him by a former member of his band, but all of the money will go to the plaintiff’s attorney, a lawyer for the goth rocker said today. Stephen Bier, better known by the stage names Pogo and Madonna Wayne Gacy, brought his breach-of contract case in Los Angeles Superior Court in August 2007 against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner.
Bier, who was seeking more than $20 million, alleged Manson used money from their former band partnership to buy items ranging from Nazi paraphernalia to a $150,000 engagement ring for ex-wife Dita Von Teese, depriving him of his partnership share. Manson’s lawyer, Howard E. King, said Bier will not get any proceeds and that the settlement check will be made payable to Bier’s lead attorney to cover the costs of the latter’s investment in the case. King maintains the lawsuit never should have been filed. “After being dismissed from the band, Bier could have focused on resurrecting or attempting to pursue a music career,” King said. “Instead, he devoted the last several years to complaining about Manson’s alleged spending habits and extravagant behavior to anyone who would listen.” READ MORE
