New Singer For Mad Season Announced

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready has announced that Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan (pictured below) will be the replacement vocalist for Mad Season. Lanegan takes over vocal duties from Layne Staley (Alice In Chains), who passed away in 2002.

Mad Season released only one album, the 1995 gold-selling Above, which produced the two hit singles “River Of Deceit” and “I Don’t Know Anything”. The band disbanded when bassist John Baker Saunders passed away in 1999.

McCready has announced that a new album might well be in the works. More details are available here. READ MORE
