Essence Atkins (pictured below; Are We There Yet? ) is set to star opposite Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie) in the indie Smart Ass, which Wayans will direct with Mike Tiddes, Variety reports.

The pic is described as a spoof of a various found-footage pics like Paranormal Activity and The Devil Inside. The first Scary Movie was insanely funny, so maybe these guys can make spoof funny again? Eh?

Rick Alvarez and Lisa Blum are producing the pic, which is currently filming in Los Angeles. READ MORE
