Preview: ‘Marvel Zombies Detroy!’ #1

I’m pretty sure the last edition of Marvel Zombies, “Christmas Carol”, didn’t do so hot, but Marvel is still intent on pushing it out. Regardless, it is a fun series, and who doesn’t love seeing their favorite Marvel costumed heroes turn into flesh hungry monsters? “Zombies Destroy!” offers and alternate history storyline where the Nazis won WWII, which has never, ever been done before. The book will feature Howard the Duck and his army in an onslaught against the Nazi Zombies. Take a look at the preview below. READ MORE

Howard The Duck: Zombie Hunter? A Full 7 Page Look At ‘Marvel Zombies 5′ Issue Two!

Who else almost laughed their ass off when Howard The Duck showed up in the first issue of “MARVEL ZOMBIES 5″? There’s just something about the lil’ guy in a cowboy costume toting around a gun that makes me laugh harder than any Martin Lawrence film in the past decade. (Or maybe that’s Martin Lawrence?) Aliens and Zombies!!! New Releases This Week – 9/30

We are a day short of October and it feels like the Halloween comics are trickling in. One such comic is the trade paperback of Trick R Treat, which is based on the movie of the same name. The art is pretty good but I have not gotten a chance to read it yet. Also Marvel Zombies Returns ends this week if I’m correct and I’m interested to see how that one ends. And don’t forgot Aliens #3 for all your phallic imagery needs! Full list after the break.

Goon and Marvel Zombies – Comics Out This Week 9/24

Well we are on week 4 of a 5 week Marvel Zombies run. Marvel has released a new issue every week which is pretty awesome for readers, too bad the story is kinda boring. Here’s hoping the ending is better, but I’ll bet you my liver it’s gonna have a cliffhanger. The Goon has a great trade out, and Hack/Slash and Darkness issues are also out. Full list after the break…

Merc With A Mouth #3 Cover Channels Dawn of the Dead

I was just going through this weeks releases when I noticed another greay Suydam cover for Deadpool: Merc with a mouth #3. As you can tell it’s an homage to the movie Dawn of the Dead. Merc with a mouth kinda continues where Marvel Zombies 4 left off. A must buy if you are a fan of zombies AND Deadpool. More info after the break…

Last Resort #2, North 40 #3, Marvel Zombies – New Releases This Week – 9/3

I was assuming this week there weren’t’ going to be any good horror comics coming out….well I was sorely mistaken. I would suggest a couple titles to pick up this week: North 40 (if this does not become a tv show/movie, Hollywood is even more stupid than I thought), Sweet Tooth (it’s only a buck and it’s creepy good), Last Resort(with must buy covers by Darwyn Cooke, the story is actually pretty good and is very well paced), and Chew(everyone should really be reading this…Period). Also a new Marvel Zombies has come out, but I can’t suggest it since I haven’t read it yet. What are you getting this week?

They’re baack…Marvel Zombies Returns

If you read the final issue of Marvel Zombies 4 this week, you might have noticed a teaser in the end. The last page has an image of the remaining heroes/zombies from series 1 and 2 and in blood dripping font the words “Coming this September… Guess who’s back?!?” Every zombie will be getting their own one shot story and the fifth issue will be a special zombie Avengers issue. I will be posting more info in the coming days, but I like the idea of each character’s issues…but can the audience handle more zombies?

New Comic Releases This Week – 4/8

New comic book day has hit upon us again and here are my picks for the week. The most important one to get is Marvel Zombies 4 #1, after the series 3 won me back I’m very excited to see how this one does. Also Locke and Key Head Games and The Cleaners are 2 others to possibly check out. And for my non horror pick of the week, I would have to go with Doctor Who: The Forgotten TP, anyone who knows me knows I love Doctor Who.
