A new threat is out to kill Shepard, and it’s up to him and the crew to stop them. Head past the break to see the awesome Citadel trailer. And you can pick it up starting today for 1200 Microsoft Sad Goodbyes.
It’s been one of the most epic trilogies in the video game universe. But this chapter in the Mass Effect universe is coming to an end. On March 5th ‘Citadel‘ the final single player Mass Effect 3 DLC will be released. Citadel will having you exploring new areas of the Citadel Space Station and reconnecting with characters from every game in the series, before Shepard’s final send off. Also releasing February 26th for free is the multiplayer ‘Reckoning‘ DLC. With it will come new characters, maps, weapons, and upgrades. Head past the break for new screenshots from both DLCs.
The Dead Space series has always had some kick ass outfits for Isaac. Well let’s just say that Mass Effect 3 and Dead Space 3 have been fooling around behind closed doors. The outcome is the magical N7 Armor for Isaac and Carver in Dead Space 3. How do you get it? Easy. As long as you have yourself a Mass Effect 3 game save, and you purchase yourself some Dead Space 3 and BAM. That easy. Check out the video below to get a look at the suits. February 5th! So close!
Because so many websites and publications have Game of the Year awards that cover many games across many different genres, we created the FEAR Awards, which since its inception back in 2009 has recognized the best and worst horror (and horror adjacent) games of the year. Unfortunately, this means we miss many excellent games. To remedy this, I’m going to recognized this year’s best non-horror games right now. Check them out after the jump!
Out today you can download the Omega DLC for Mass Effect 3 for the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Just like all of the other Mass Effect 3 DLC this one is free. This one however adds to the already incredible campaign, as Shepard heads back to Omega to help Aria T’Loak take it back from a dickish Cerberus general. Check out the action packed launch trailer past the break.
Mass Effect 3′s next DLC entitled Omega, has you joining up with Aria T’Loak, and Nyreen Kandros. Omega has been taken by Cerberus General Oleg Petrovsky, and Aria needs Shepard’s help to take back the black market station. 4 playable missions will be in the DLC. I’m not sure where in the Mass Effect timeline the DLC falls, but I suppose the only way to find out is to buy it! It comes out November 27th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Screens past the break.
If you played the Mass Effect series and know a bit of its lore, the Collectors posed quite a threat in the second game. Well those punk bitches are back in the Retaliation DLC. That’s not all though. This pack is going to be HUGE. One of my favorites is an addition of “hazards” to the regular maps. Lightening, sandstorms, whiteouts and more.
New weapons, new class kits, new upgrades, some of the enemy factions will be getting new allies to fight against you. This DLC is really going to change the mulitplayer up. You only have to wait until October 9th to get it. Though waiting until Tuesday sucks because there goes your week. You can download it October 9th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 for free. Check out a trailer and some screen shots and all the details past the break.
On Oct. 12th, at the New York Comic Con, there will be a panel that I’m quite upset I won’t be able to attend. Titled “Maestros Of Horror & Sci-Fi Music”, the panel will feature video game composers Jason Graves (Dead Space), Kevin Riepl (Gears Of War, Aliens: Colonial Marines), Sascha Dikiciyan (Mass Effect 3), Cris Velasco (Mass Effect 3), Sam Hulick (Mass Effect trilogy), Tom Salta (Halo: Combat Evolved), and Nile Rodgers (Halo soundtracks album producer).
The panel will be discussing composing for the horror and sci-fi genres as well as the art of scoring for blockbuster videogames. The panel will be held at the Javits Center in Room 1A01 from 12:15pm to 1:15pm.
I’m a huge fan of most of these composers. If you’re going to the NYC Comic Con, do yourself a favor and attend this event. I’m 99.99% sure that it will be incredible. READ MORE
Well, you’ve come to the right place! No I personally can’t make it happen, but I can tell you how. All you have to do is buy the Firefight Pack. It’s out right now on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. It’s only 2 bucks, or 160 Microsoft Gold Medals. The pack stocks your campaign locker with the Indra and Krysae sniper rifles, Reegar Carbine, Harrier battle rifle, Geth SMG, plus an all-new Blood Pack Punisher SMG and Adas Anti-Synthetic rifle. The least you can do is pay Bioware 2 dollars after they’ve given you 400 million new awesome maps and multiplayer gifts for free.
Mass Effect 3 has been more than generous with the free DLC. And guess what, we’re getting more! This time the fight is being brought to Earth. The DLC is named Earth. Because why not? Since the DLC is free, I find no qualms with buying a shit ton of Veteran Packs. Like usual the pack will include 3 new maps, 6 new characters, new weapons, upgrades, a new in mission objective and more. Head past the break to find out about all the goodies you get, and look out for the free DLC on July 17th in North America, and the 18th in Europe.
Since Mass Effect 3′s release gamers all over the world have been up in arms over the ending. My sister likes to randomly tell me how her life is ruined because of the ending. Well, redemption is almost at hand. Tomorrow, today, wherever you are reading this June 26th will be the release of the Mass Effect 3 – Extended Cut DLC. Those in Europe will have to wait until July 4th. The dlc will be a massive 1.9gb so prepare your hard drive for it. What the Extended Cut is, is basically scenes explaining and showing what was implied by the original ending of Mass Effect 3. What happens to those effected by the choices you’ve made and so on. To ear more head past the break and check out the audio from a Bioware podcast. The extended cut will also be FREE.
Yes, the Wii U is doing something the Wii hasn’t done for me in a long time. Releasing games I want to play. Bazing! But in all serious something I never expected, and that’s Mass Effect 3 coming to the WiiU. Not really any other details, but there is bunch of game info you can check out past the break.
If you’re a Mass Effect 3 fan, or Mass Effect fan in general and you haven’t yet dove into the multiplayer you don’t know what you’re missing. The Rebellion Pack was just released on Tuesday FOR FREE, and it’s totally worth every penny. But seriously, with the release of the Resurgence Pack and now the Rebellion Pack the multiplayer experience keeps getting better and better. There is a total of 10 maps now, more characters than you can handle, a new equipment slot, oh man I can’t stop drooling. Check out the Rebellion Pack trailer beyond the break.
I’m hooked on the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. I don’t know what it is but I love it. Yes, many times I find myself yelling at the tv because the cover system isn’t as perfect as Gears Of War. But it’s still incredibly addicting. With each new multiplayer it gets better and better. New weapons, new characters, and new maps keeps bring me back for more and more. The Rebellion Pack brings the largest change to the entire multiplayer system. 2 major factors in that are new in mission objectives, and new gear slots. Find out more and check out some screenshots past the break. The pack is out in North America on May 29 and in Europe on May 30.
The only thing this trailer is going to craft is millions of raging nerd boners all across the world. I don’t want to hype it up too much, but there’s a very good chance this is the best thing you’ll ever see. I only hope you don’t need to have played the first two to fully enjoy Mine Effect 3 (I’m sure they had annoying planet scanning anyway). I’m also totally willing to overlook another crappy ending if it means I can kick some blocky Reaper Squid ass. Head past the break for a video you won’t soon forget–unless you have short-term memory loss, but in that case I envy you because that means you can totally keep watching the video and let its awesome newness wash over you every time.
The time is almost here for yet another Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekend. As usual it will run Friday May 11 at 6PM PST until Monday May 14 at 5AM PST. This weekend the Allied Goal is to kill 3,000,000 banshees. Holy shit, that’s a lot of banshees. On top of the fact that those crazy bitches are horrible. If everyone completes that we can all get a free Victory Pack. The Squad Goal is to survive and achieve a full extraction on any map against any enemy on gold difficulty. If you and your crew get that done you get a free Commendation Pack. Head past the break for some massive multiplayer stats.
If you haven’t yet participated in a Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekend, you’re missing out. But let me break it down for you. There are basically 2 challenges 2 be completed. The Allied Goal, and the Squad Goal. Allied Goal is a cumulative goal that is to be completed with the help of all Mass Effect multiplayers who play during the weekend. This coming weekends challenge is kill 1 Million Cerberus Phantoms. You know, those ninja mother fuckers who sneak up on you and cut you to death with their swords. The prize for everyone participating if completed is a Victory Pack. The Squad goals are to be completed by you and your squad by the end of the weekend. This weekends goal is survive Until extraction on any map with any enemy on Gold difficulty. Do this to get a Commendation Pack. The weekend starts this Friday at 6pm PST and ends Monday 5am PST.
If you listened to our latest Podcast you know I’m super into Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer. So you can only image how excited I am about the newest DLC, The Resurgence Pack. 2 new maps, 6 new characters, weapons, mods, I’m friggen pumped. You can download the DLC is available for download now for the price of “on the house”. Past the break for the trailer, and all sorts of good info.
A lot of big Mass Effect fans we’re and still are outraged at the way the epic trilogy ended. I have not even begun to scratch the surface on the series, but most of my friends have beaten all 3 and aren’t happy. I’ve heard many rumors about some DLC to fix the ending, I’ve heard devs are completely happy with it and don’t want to change it at all.
If you head past the break you can see the Green ending. MAJOR MAJOR SPOILER ALERT. I watched it. Definitely didn’t understand it, and will have forgotten it by the time I reach it. To those who completed the game, what did you think of the ending? READ MORE
This weekend, already going on as of about 5pm today and going until 5am Monday is the Mass Effect 3 bonus exp weekend. What does that mean for you? Play this weekend in any multiplayer game and earn a bonus 25%. Time to get those levels up! GET TO IT.
If you aren’t a Mass Effect buff and suck like me, the video below might help you with the multiplayer. I’ve only dabbled in the Mass Effect world, but I’ve been playing quite a bit of the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer with friends. I’m not so good. I’m getting there, but it’ll take time. There is a lot to learn, and if you haven’t been around for the long haul it’s all going to be new and confusing. So let’s start with the enemies, and how to stay on top.
Get ready to laugh yourself stupid.
Do you hear that? That’s the sound of countless Reapers descending from space, coming to destroy all you love. No more Cheetos, no more Mountain Dew: Pitch Black. That last one actually sent shivers down my spine. Even though there are thousands of Reapers on their way, we have Commander Shepard, so all is not lost. It’s been a long time coming, but Mass Effect 3 is just around the corner.
The long awaited conclusion to the Mass Effect trilogy is due out for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 6 for the fat Americans, 3/8 for the Aussies, 3/9 for the smelly Europeans, and 3/15 for the jolly Japanese, and no, I don’t know what that last one meant. Head past the break for the epic launch trailer. READ MORE
