Bloody-Disgusting has teamed up with Dawn Of Ashes to bring you an exclusive stream/download of their track “Systematic Guillotine”, which comes from their new album Anathema (out via Metropolis Records).
“The title track “Systematic Guillotine” is based on my nasty ego, my misanthropic hatred towards humanity, & the generalization of how I fulfill my confidence with everything that makes me rebel against normal society. In my mind, I create a human holocaust where my thoughts create visions of pain / suffering & then transforms my ego (self pride) into a vicious persona who doesn’t show emotions for what people have to say or how they view me.” -Kristof
Dawn Of Ashes will be touring with Psyclon Nine in late summer/early fall. Head on below for the tour dates and to download “Systematic Guillotine”. READ MORE

Covalist niVek ohGr comments, “The human animal is a ‘weapon’. Every action and thought, conceived then carried out; whether political, physical or spiritual, has the potential to cause harm and misery; just as the same action, not underwritten with fear and misinformation, but carried by only positive intent would have the opposite effect.” READ MORE
Electronic group VNV Nation has made an announcement regarding their plans for 2013, which includes a new album as well as a album of older songs rearranged to feature classical arrangements.
Regarding the new album, the title has been set as Transnational and it is scheduled for release in September of this year. It is the followup to 2011′s Automatic (review). Tour dates are being planned through late 2014 and the first dates will be released soon.
Last year, VNV Nation performed at the Gothic Meets Klassik festival. There were plans to record and release the tracks that VNV Nation performed with an orchestra. However, a problem with the in-house recording equipment rendered the tracks unusable.
As a result, Ronan Harris has begun with an arranger to make an album of VNV Nation songs scored for orchestra and which will include the tracks performed at the festival as well as additional songs.
Harris will also be performing a section of VNV Nation songs on this year’s Gothic Cruise alongside a classical pianist.
Harris ends the VNV Nation post by saying that more news will be released over the next few months. Personally, I’m hoping for a live DVD, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. READ MORE

The track “Pussy Riot” exposes the underbelly of society’s shortcomings. Frontman Sascha Konietzko further explains, stating, “KMFDM has always been, particularly by means of our artworks, a propagator of female empowerment. I am a ‘fan’ of both Pussy Riot and FEMEN [the feminist Ukrainian protest group] insofar as these are young women who don’t just talk and complain but act and take things into their own hands and create worldwide awareness of their issues and be it – in the case of FEMEN, simply by calling attention to their actions by baring their t**s in public. The felling of the cross was an epic statement in support of Pussy Riot.” READ MORE

From Eric Powell: “We are really excited about the release of our new album “Beating Dead Horses” on Metropolis Records. This album really achieves that perfect mixture of the heavy rock and electronic elements that we are known for. The album start to finish is our strongest I think. We also have a music video coming out for the song “Burn”. It’s a story about my father who died this year of alcohol abuse. I end up killing him in the video. It’s a little bit of a fantasy vindication for me.”

Electronic band Meat Beat Manifesto is gearing up for a short tour in February in support of their recently released 12-studio album ‘Answers Come In Dreams’. Described as “…dark, foreboding and more minimalist…[Answers Come In Dreams] could be the soundtrack for a desolate sci-fi movie” (Electronic Musicians). Combichrist is not only opening up for Rammstein at Madison Square Garden in New York City (Dec. 11th), they have also been tapped as the direct openers for Rammstein in Montreal (Dec. 9th)!
