Remains is set in a chilling post-apocalyptic Reno, Nevada, and follows the survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world’s population to zombies. The group takes refuge in a vacant casino and fights a losing battle against the undead, who grow steadily stronger, smarter and more aggressive by the minute. Based on the graphic novel by Steve Niles.
The new trailer for the Chiller TV anthology Chilling Visions: 5 Senses of Fear, looks like it could be the harbinger of good things. The project teamed the cabler with six filmmakers to make five shorts for its first anthology film about the human senses, and it looks like the premise is executed pretty well!
Taking part in the anthology, which premieres Friday, May 31 at 9pm ET, are YellowBrickRoad‘s Jesse Holland and Andy Mitton who will take on “Hearing,” My Sucky Teenage Romance‘s Emily Hagins with “Touch,” Madison County and Roadside‘s Eric England with “Taste,” “Slash-in-the-Box’s” Nick Everhart with “Smell,” and Miko Hughes with “Sight.”

Premiering this fall is the John Doolan-penned adaptation of Steve Niles’ Remains, which was originally a five-issue comic series IDW put out back in 2004 (I think I have the trade paperback floating around here somewhere…).
The flick, which will air on Chiller, was directed by Colin Theys and tells the story of a blackjack dealer and exotic dancer who survive a nuclear accident that turns everyone else into zombies.
I can’t remember much about it aside from the basic premise, but one would have to assume they’re not the last people on earth considering Kieron Dwyer’s Comic-Con poster features more than a few hard-boiled characters on it. Check past the break for the new art, which you’ll presumably be able to grab next week if you’re heading out to San Diego.
