In celebration they have made a new website, with incredible insight in their company. It was inevitable. We knew it was coming, it was really just a matter of time. Well, now that time has come, and as gamers we may very well be the only force humanity has for countering the nearing zombie threat. In films the fat kid with a joystick in one hand and a Snickers in the other is usually one of the first to get eaten alive. We think that because he has trouble getting off the couch he couldn’t kick some undead ass if he truly wanted to. But behind that acne-ridden face is the mind of a killer, honed to perfection over years of mercilessly ripping apart zombies made up of bytes and sprites.

It’s up to us; I’m calling every nerd, geek, loner, and social outcast to ask yourself: are you adequately prepared for the coming zombie apocalypse? If you answered no, read this article and you by the time you finish you will be as prepared as I am for in it contains all my knowledge gathered over a lifetime of undead kickassery. If you have been reading Dead Pixels for a bit you may remember a while back I posted 2 videos where the Dead or Alive girls fight it out with the Final Fantasy girls, in an all out epically amazing brawl. Well, part 3 is out, and Tifa gets a little bloody, and Materia get’s knocked around like ping pong balls. It comes from Game Trailers, by a user known as MontyOum. Hug A Zombie Day

In case you haven’t heard, today is hug a zombie day. What does that mean exactly? It’s a day to think about all the zombies you have killed and their poor family’s as you blew their heads off with a shotgun, or threw a grenade into a crowd of the undead, only to become showered in their body parts.

Rebecca Mayes has made a musical Resident Evil 5 review video in honor of Hug A Zombie Day, and it’s pretty great and you can check it out HERE. She has been in Official Playstation Magazine and NGamer magazine and has done several other reviews such as Wii Sports and Okami – Wii

Rest In Peace 1up.com

As most of you might know, I LOVE 1up.com. They have great news on games, great podcasts, great reviews, they’re just great all around. One of my favorite places to hide on the internet.

It’s really more weird because thinking on how terrible our economy is, and how big companies are going under, and this year we are going to start losing a lot of companies. It seems like losing 1up is like starting the 1st domino.

Well, as of only a little bit ago, UGO Entertainment and parent Hearst Corporation bought 1up.com out. Or as they call it, “acquired”. You know, like they were walking down the street, and tripped on 1up, and then snagged them off the street. Along with 1up, they also got the other sites in 1up’s network, GameVideos.com, MyCheats.com, and GameTab.com.

Now 1up and EGM Magazine are also one in the same. So what does this mean for the magazine? The last issue will supposedly be printed this month, so make sure you pick it up.

As companies usually get bought out they lay people off. The worst part about this is that they are getting rid of major writers, and employees on the website. No more podcasts. They are pillaging 1up, and setting houses on fire, and wiping out families and it makes me sick. You can see the list of those let go HERE
