Yeah Yeah Yeahs Release Video For “Mosquito”

Indie rock group Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released a video for “Mosquito”, the title track of their new album. The video is a one-take picture-in-picture with a closeup of a young boy’s hand as a mosquito is drinking a great amount of blood while the PIP is of the young boy’s face. Things turn quite psychedelic and, ultimately, pretty bloody. Check it out below! READ MORE

Yeah Yeah Yeahs Announce New Album ‘Mosquito’ And Reveal A Really Weird Album Cover

Indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced an April 16th release date for their fourth studio album Mosquito. On top of that, they’ve released two juicy bits for the fans, the first being a teaser trailer for the album and the second being an absolutely fantastic and twisted album cover that features a giant mosquito about to…well, I won’t ruin it for you.

The album will be produced by Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio) and Nick Launay. One track was produced by James Murphy and features Dr. Octagon (Kool Keith).

Our very own Evan Dickson got to see the band perform recently in Pomona, CA and states, “The warm-up show I saw in Pomona was every bit as energetic and fun as I’ve ever seen them. And some of the new songs are beautiful too. The title track sounds like the Fever To Tell stuff, but a few of the other songs are really spacey and rhythmic.

You can see the album teaser and cover below. READ MORE
