Teen Slasher ‘Until Dawn’ Might Not Require A PlayStation Move After All

What’s in the box (art)?!

Last August, Supermassive Games unveiled their PS3 exclusive stab at the teen slasher subgenre with Until Dawn. It looked good, except for that whole PlayStation Move bit. I have nothing against the Move, but requiring the peripheral to play the game places a pretty substantial limit on your audience.

Today, the game’s box art was revealed, and where I was expecting it to say “PS Move required” it actually says “PS Move compatible” That’s not necessarily a solid confirmation on whether or not it will require the peripheral, but it gives those of us who never bought a Move some hope. I’ll update when Sony confirms either way. In the meantime, you can feast your eyes on the box art, in all its broken flashlight glory, after the jump.

If You Want Your Friend To Live, You’ll Watch This New ‘Until Dawn’ Halloween Trailer

The Halloween trailers just keep coming! Until Dawn is an intriguing horror game because it’s heavily inspired by teen slasher flicks like Halloween and Friday the 13th, with a little Saw thrown in. In it, eight teens are being hunted by someone, or something. It looks creepy enough, and while I haven’t jumped on the PlayStation Move bandwagon, this might end up being the game that changes my mind about it. Might be. Check out its unsettling (and heavily Saw-inspired) Halloween trailer after the break.

House Of The Dead: Overkill Advocates Nudes

In House Of The Dead: Overkill Extended Cut you and one of your creepy perverted friends will be making your way through a zombie infested strip club. Awwwwww yeaaaaahhh. You also won’t be playing as Level G and Wash, but taking on the roles of Varla Guns and her stripper friend Candy. At this point the game can’t really get any cooler; and it’s got to be better than the movie Zombie Strippers.

The PS3 Version Of House Of The Dead: Overkill Trumps The Wii Version

Debate it all you want, the Wii just can’t pump out the gorgeous graphics that the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 can. That’s why House Of The Dead: Overkill is going to look way better on the Playstation 3 then it ever did on the Wii. However, that’s no necessarily a good thing. One thing that made Overkill so awesome is the way it looked. Shitty and grainy and very old skool.

I never played the other No More Heroes’, but this one is definitely striking my attention.
