Today brings you the second to last in the Bloody-Disgusting Mayhem Festival Report series! Today brings you an exclusive interview with Wednesday 13 of Murderdolls! Mayhem Festival Report #1: Checking Out Mayhem
Recently, I got the opportunity to go to the Rockstar Mayhem Festival at the DTE Energy Theater (still known to me as Pine Knob) in Clarkston, Michigan. With headliner’s such as Korn, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, as well as supporting acts like Hatebreed, Chimaira, In This Moment, Norma Jean, and others, how could I not go? While there, I snagged several interviews which I will be posting daily throughout the week. Who were the interviews with? I guess you’ll have to find out! In the meantime, we’ve got a video of several artists with a message for YOU, the readers, as well as some pictures of a In This Moment, Chimaira, and Rob Zombie. Check it all out and if you were there, leave some comments!
Rob Zombie And Alice Cooper Touring Again
Back by popular demand, masters of the diabolical Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper will reunite for The Halloween Hootenanny Tour featuring the Gruesome Twosome with special guests (and Zombie labelmates) Murderdolls. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Thursday, September 30th (please see below for tour dates). The pair recently shared the stage for a highly-successful, sold-out limited North American run earlier this year and have long been fans of one another, as well as good friends. The Billings Gazette declared, “Thousands of fans got the show of a lifetime…With elaborate multimedia stage shows and classic fist-pumping anthems, both artists brought much more to the stage than their music…the multi-sensory experience of the show will likely not be forgotten.” Charlotte’s Creative Loafing stated, “Zombie was a wildman – running around stage, flipping his hair in every way and stomping away to rev the crowd into a frenzy…Two fantastic performances…” Drummer Joey Jordison will be doing double-duty on the dates, playing drums with Rob Zombie, as well as playing guitar with his own band, special guests Murderdolls.

Exclusive: Murderdolls’ Joey Jordison (Slipknot) & Wednesday 13 Share Their Favorite Horror Flicks
Murderdolls make fist-pumpin’, panty-droppin’ graveyard rock better than anyone these days.
That sums it all up.
The pairing of Slipknot’s Joey Jordison (guitar, drums, musical mayhem of all kinds) and Wednesdy 13 (vocals, cool hats) is genuinely arena-ready on Women and Children Last, the band’s forthcoming sophomore offering and follow-up to 2002′s Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls. In fact, Women and Children Last sits at a sick crossroads right in between Motley Crue and Rob Zombie, and it’s a pretty awesome place to be. With searing riffs and solos and massive choruses, this may bring more than just the goth chicks back to rock ‘n’ roll… thank God…
Given the band’s penchant for all kinds of horror-influenced subject matter, Bloody-Disgusting.com’s Rick Florino (www.bookofdolor.com) sat down with Joey Jordison and Wednesday 13 in a Hollywood Hills studio to discuss some of their favorite horror flicks for this exclusive feature. READ MORE
Murderdolls Recording First New Album In 8 Years
Joey Jordison, drummer of Slipknot, is getting back on the guitar this summer with the release of a new Murderdolls album, entitled ‘Women And Children Last’. The last time the Murderdolls were heard of or seen was way back in 2004. Joey is commented saying, “We’ve waited eight years to make sure, but this is the perfect time to bring Murderdolls back to the world. We’ve got nothing to lose and nothing to prove. So raise your fist along with us motherfuckers and sorry if you get a bloody nose along the way. It’s about to get ugly! Women and Children Last!!!”
