Twentieth Century Fox brought Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter 3D, their horror historical retelling from Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, to Wondercon today and now there’s a new trailer on the web!

This one continues the ass-kicking, more serious than you’d expect, epic vibe of the first trailer while expanding the scope significantly. My only complaint? Not nearly enough Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

In theaters June 22, “Seth Grahame-Smith’s revision of a Jane Austen classic explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln (Walker) witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.

Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk all star.

Grammy Museum Presents ‘The History Of Heavy Metal’

The Grammy Museum has teamed up with Revolver Magazine to open up an exhibit entitled ‘The History Of Heavy Metal’, which will feature stage artifacts and props, handwritten lyrics, and more. The purpose of the exhibit is to educate people on the origins of heavy metal, go through the various subgenres, and tackle the controversy that has surrounded the genre since it’s inception nearly five decades ago. The exhibit opens up April 11th, 2012, which coincides with the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show. More information can be found here.
Personally I see this as a step in the right direction. The Grammys have always had really shoddy options when it came to the Rock and Metal nominees. There are so many amazing albums that come out each year and it always ends up as a popularity contest. I’d prefer to see the Grammys as a center for being able to find new music from artists that might not get the normal amount of exposure that other artists are afforded.
