Marvel just released some preview images for the “Point One” issue, which introduces some of their most anticipated new books coming out in 2014 including “Silver Surfer”, “Ms. Marvel”, “Black Widow”, and more. Take a look at some pages below. READ MORE
Already well known for its incredible writing and insane amount of death, blood, and random acts of unfathomable violence, “Bedlam” establishes much of the same in this issue. Just as it seemed the horrific killings and “accidents” couldn’t get more brutal, a drink-the-Kool-Aid style mass suicide occurs, leaving Fillmore and company way out matched. Even though Nick Spencer is able to continue building momentum, the art doesn’t quite capture the story. READ MORE
I heard about this rumor a while back from a very reliable source, but I chose not to report it for fear of starting some sort of debacle among creators (and to not be a jerk to said source). But it seems the cat is now out of the bag. Riley Rossmo is taking leave from “Bedlam” due to creative differences with the series writer, Nick Spencer. READ MORE
A completely unique take on the world of crime and serial killers is quickly becoming a more meaningful and deep story than issue #1 represented. Bedlam comes from the creative mind of Nick Spencer who is weaving an intense tale of mayhem and murder with the aid of an incredible artist in Riley Rossomo. The combination of both the story and art makes it one hell of an interesting read and I’m not surprised at all. READ MORE
Its Halloween week and Image comics chose this unique opportunity to introduce their newest serial killer to the world of comics. From the brilliantly creative mind of Nick Spencer comes the twisted story of Bedlam, a city, that has recently, gotten over the terror of the murderous acts of a sick and twisted man who preys on the local children and women. Especially children. This book isn’t the customary serial killer story, and the wonderful art by Riley Rossmo reflects its untraditional style. READ MORE

One of the coolest announcements to come out of Image Expo was the upcoming new horror book from Nick Spencer (Morning Glories) and Riley Rossmo (Green Wake, Rebel Blood) entitled BEDLAM. This book doesn’t launch until August but advance artwork looks amazing.
Here we are just days away from the start of ComiCon San Diego and already the news is rushing in. Today “THE WALKING DEAD” scribe Robert Kirkman revealed that he will be starting his own publishing company for up and coming creator owned stories called Skybound Publishing. The publisher will be an offshoot of his current publisher Image Comics and inside you can get all the details from the massive press release as well as the first images from his first story from the company titled “WITCH DOCTOR”. Earlier this year when Image Comics made the announcement that they would be releasing “SHUDDERTOWN”, an all new original mini-series from “EXISTENCE 3.0″ and “FORGETLESS” mastermind Nick Spencer, a lot of people stood up and took notice. The best evidence of this is the fact that backissues of the series are almost scarce, and many are jockeying this one for Eisner Awards in the future. But we hear that all the time right? Well, yes, we do. However, if there is a series that DESERVES that type of hype right now it might just be this one. Need convincing? Well then my friends you came to the right place as you can make the jump to read a 5 page preview of the newest issue that is on sale TODAY, and a little ‘Why You Should Care’ for good measure. Read on for the skinny.
Last month Image Comics released the first issue of “EXISTENCE 2.0″ and “FORGETLESS” creator Nick Spencer’s newest mini-series, “SHUDDERTOWN”. The title itself is a bit of an enigma following Homicide Detective (and drug addict) Isaac Hernandez as he tries to solve the mystery of the bodies turning up in his town by what would seem to be the stupidest murderer of all time. Fingerprints, DNA, fibers, and every other piece of evidence a cop could possibly hope to find on the scene is there, but the only catch is is that they all lead back to one guy who just so happens to be dead. For those of you who enjoy some “SE7EN” inspired thrills with your hard boiled noir read on for the 5 page preview of the second issue.
