In an outrageous send up of the Paranormal Activity movies, The Devil Inside and other “found footage” movies, A Haunted House features young couple Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Kisha (Essence Atkins) who have just moved in to their dream house. As they settle in, they quickly find they’re not alone. But it’s not the house that’s haunted, it’s Malcolm’s girlfriend who is possessed by a demon. Malcolm hires everyone from a priest to modern day ghostbusters to rid her of this unwelcome intruder, determined not to let the evil spirit ruin his relationship… or, more importantly, his sex life.
Now in theaters everywhere from Open Road is Marlon Wayans’ A Haunted House, which is destined to be the #1 movie at the boxoffice, despite a rash of negative reviews. The promotional materials have been spoofing various other horror flicks, even though Haunted Housesolely makes fun of Paranormal Activity and The Devil Inside. Next up, the final two posters, which spoof Texas Chainsaw 3D and The Possession. Make sure to write your own reviews to tell all of Bloody what YOU thought!

It was recently announced that Open Road Films had acquired Michael Tiddes’ A Haunted House, co-written by and starring Marlon Wayans. This morning the official trailer hit and I was actually a bit impressed. While the first Scary Movie (a hilarious movie) was a direct spoof of Scream, the sequels trailed off into pop culture land (a place that I never want to visit). With A Haunted House, Wayans and co. appear to do a direct spoof of Paranormal Activity (while also referencing other Found Footage films like Devil Inside), which excites me a great bit. IMO, the best spoof comedies come when the writer makes jokes about observations he/she has about the subject, not by injecting a bunch of pop culture references into a non-existant plot. I guess you could say that I’m actually looking forward to this?

The hilarious Bob Odenkirk has come aboard to co-star in the stop-motion animated comedy movie Hell & Back, joining an ensemble voice cast that includes Mila Kunis, Nick Swardson, TJ Miller and Rob Riggle, reports Deadline.
The feature, the first from stop-motion Robot Chicken studio ShadowMachine, is an R-rated comedy about two best friends who must rescue their buddy from the depths of hell.
Odenkirk will play the Devil, who’s been running Hell since before time began, and it’s starting to get on his nerves. The actor-writer-director currently co-stars on AMC’s “Breaking Bad” and has won two Emmys for writing.
Tommy Gianas is directing; ShadowMachine’s Corey Campodonico, Eric Blyler and Alex Bulkley are producing along with Ross Shuman, with current writing revisions by Hugh Sterbakov. READ MORE
A little bit of Heaven just entered Hell…
Mila Kunis has been set to star in Hell & Back alongside previously announced Nick Swardson, TJ Miller, Rob Riggle, Brian Posehn and Kumail Najiani, reports Deadline.
The R-rated stop-motion animated comedy follows two best friends (Swardson and Miller) as they rescue a buddy who’s been dragged to hell by accident.
Kunis is a female demon whose ability to navigate the underworld makes her the toughest rogue demon in Hell. Her independent streak comes from the fact she’s half human. She was sired by the Orpheus of myth when he traveled down the River Styx, nailing everything in sight.

The film is set to begin shooting in January with Tommy Gianas (Tenacious D) and Ross Shuman directing. ShadowMachine principals Alexander Bulkley and Corey Campodonico are producing.
