Here’s The Teaser For The ‘Carrie’ Remake!!!

Sony held their NYCC panel over the weekend, during which they debuted the teaser for Carrie, their reboot starring Chloë Grace Moretz as the title character. And now? Now we have that teaser! And it looks surprisingly large in scope, actually. It primarily features voiceover amongst shots of an absolutely destroyed town, which kind of backs up the filmmakers’ promise that this is based more on the book than the DePalma film. In the book the town is almost completely destroyed. Maybe in the next one we’ll get more carnage – though this does feature a bloodied up Carrie (with the colors muted for green band trailer compatibility). You rating hounds don’t need to worry though, they’ve assured us that the film is R-Rated.

A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.” Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of Carrie earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

Carrie is in theaters March 15, 2013. Head inside for the footage! READ MORE
