Milla Jovovich, star of Resident Evil: Retribution, will be participating in a live global streaming webchat leading up to the launch of the film’s trailer on Thursday, June 14th at 11:00am EDT at the Regal Union Square Cinemas in New York. ScreenCrush.com’s Jordan Hoffman will be moderating. Fans will be able to attend the event by logging on to Facebook and printing out an invitation; admittance will be granted on a first come first serve basis. Fans at home can log on to that same Facebook page to watch the Q&A live; the event is being translated into ten languages worldwide. Fans can also submit their questions online at Facebook for a chance to get it answered live by Milla. The full trailer will be posted after the webchat on the film’s official site.

But we have you guys covered! Or at least 10 of you! All you have to do is shoot us an email at [email protected] and we’ll pick ten winners at random. Sony Screen Gems’ has now provided us with a pair of new hi-res stills from Resident Evil: Retribution, which is directed once again by Paul W.S. Anderson. One pic displays Ada Wong (Li Bing Bing, left) and Alice (Milla Jovovich) walking down a NY Street, the other has Alice whopping some Umbrella/undead arse.

Just last week we dropped 42 poster comps for Screen Gems’ forthcoming Resident Evil: Retribution, which is directed once again by Paul W.S. Anderson. While the studio asked us to remove the leaked art, one was used for the international release and features the beautiful backend of Alice (Milla Jovovich). Global indeed. It should be noted that none of these are “official”, and most will never be used, but it appears that what you’re about to look at are the designers’ various takes on the forthcoming sequel directed by Paul W.S. Paul W.S. Anderson Talks Resident Evil 6, Films Producers Discuss A Prequel!

I was recently on set for Sony Screen Gems’ Resident Evil: Retribution in Toronto, a visit in which there was ample opportunity to talk with much of the film’s cast and crew (full report coming soon). While most of the conversation centered around the most recent installment’s returning cast members and globetrotting narrative, there was one inevitable topic that kept arising – the future of the franchise.

The Resident Evil franchise is one of the lucky few in which the box office grosses just keep going up – and with that trend not looking to die down with the current installment it seems as if it’s (almost) a foregone conclusion that Part 6 will happen. In fact, director Paul W.S. Anderson already has a story in mind (it would be the completion of a trilogy cycle started in Afterlife) and there was even discussion of filming parts 5 and 6 back to back (a discussion which was admittedly abandoned early on).

While there isn’t a script yet, here’s what director Paul W.S. Anderson had to say on the matter. “There was an early discussion about [filming 5 and 6 back to back], but we just decided to focus on this movie. But if we made another one I do know where it would go. And obviously it would be great to do two full trilogies and just bring everything to an end.”

Would the sixth one be a finale then?

“Yes. Definitely. Unless of course no one goes to see this one”.

It’s going to be a wild ride following the filming of Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: Retribution 3D as franchise star Milla Jovovich continues to tweet from behind-the-scenes. Just the other day Jovovich, who plays “Alice” once again, posted a photo of her character all bloodied up, alongside a first look at Li Bingbing in her “Ada Wong” costume.

Ada Wong Cast in Resident Evil: Retribution, Set Collapses Injuring 16 People

Milla Jovovich, who returns as Alice once again, reveals via Twitter that Chinese actress Li Bingbing (The Forbidden Kingdom) has landed the role of “Ada Wong” in the now-filming Resident Evil: Retribution.

Ada is a cunning and formidable secret agent for the mysterious and powerful group known as “Organization”.

She joins Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr and Kevin Durand in Sony Screen Gems’ fifth Resident Evil film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson from his own screenplay.

In theaters September 14, 2012, Urb plays the leader of the Resistance, who teams with Jovovich’s Alice character as she battles the Umbrella Corporation and the swarm of undead. The group will head to Russia, Japan and Toronto for the shoot.

*Update: An early-morning stage collapse Tuesday on the Toronto set has sent ten crew members and actors to the hospital, says THR. 16 people were injured after a group shifted weight from one platform no another. The Toronto Star newspaper reported that a dozen actors dressed as zombies had been moving across the soundstage platform when it collapsed. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Paul W.S. Anderson directs once again from his own screenplay that’ll take Alice and her team to Japan, Russia and Toronto for the latest battle against Umbrella.

The third and final installment of the $100 million “Resident Evil” hits, “Resident Evil: Extinction” is again based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the last film left off. Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead… and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.
