Today marks the release of Metallica‘s Through The Never on physical and digital formats. To celebrate this release, the band is streaming a clip from the movie that features their “One” performance. This comes just after the band performed the song at the 2014 Grammys with award winning pianist Lang Lang (watch that performance here). You can watch the video below.
Metal legends Metallica took the stage last night at the 2013 Grammy Awards ceremony to perform their mega-hit “One”, which comes from their …And Justice For All album. The band was joined by Lang Lang, a Chinese concert pianist who has led orchestras around the world. A video performance can be seen below (forgive the dubbing at the beginning). READ MORE

TesseracT is a band that came seemingly out of nowhere and rocked the metal community. The band’s mixture of vicious metal riffs with glorious, beautiful soundscapes captured and awed, garnering a fanatical fanbase that are near rabid supporters.
In August of 2011, singer Daniel Tompkins left the band, replaced by Sky Eats Airplanes vocalist Elliot Coleman. Less than a year later, Elliot left the band and fans were again left wondering what would be the next step. After all, the only official release with Coleman was the Perspective EP, which was a rerecorded version of “Eden” entitled “Eden 2.0” as well as acoustic covers of three songs from the One album (review) and a cover of Jeff Buckley’s “Dream Brother”. So many were left wondering when new material would surface.
Then, suddenly, a post on the band’s Facebook stated that not only had a new singer been locked down but that a new single, “Nocturne”, would soon be released. Anticipation reached cosmic levels. Could this song satisfy the hopes of so many after so much had happened? Well, I was given a copy of the upcoming single and I have my thoughts on it below. Read on for my review! READ MORE
Many people were shocked when, a few weeks ago, TesseracT announced that vocalist Dan Tompkins had left the band and that Elliot Coleman (OMNOM, Sky Eats Airplane) had joined on as his replacement. While I wish Dan the greatest success in his future journeys, my eyes are set square on TesseracT and their next move. Turns out I didn’t have to wait terribly long as the band has unveiled a trailer for their upcoming Lowering The Tone Tour, which features support from Chimpspanner and Uneven Structure. This trailer features a new demo with Elliot on vocals. Check it out below and leave your thoughts!
A few days ago, we posted the exclusive breaking story that TesseracT singer Dan Tompkins was leaving the band and a replacement singer, Elliot Coleman (Sky Eats Airplane, OMNOM, Haunted Shores), had been found. Until now, the band has been keeping it quiet, waiting for the right moment to say something. Well, that time has come. Check after the jump for quotes from several of the members, including Dan.
Coming out July 26th is Fullforce‘s debut album, One, which is one hell of a sci-fi metal powerhouse album. The band features members of Cloudscape, Hammerfall, Yngwie Malmsteen, Narnia, and Heed. To celebrate this upcoming release, singer Mike Andersson has shared his Top 10 horror films with Bloody-Disgusting! You can check it out after the jump, along with a video for ‘Wall Of Secrets‘.
TesseracT are quickly becoming one of the biggest names in up and coming artists and rightfully so! They are incredibly intricate yet easily accesible, something that’s very difficult for a band in their particular genre. Now, after the release of One, TesseracT are already looking forward, keeping the momentum going. Working with Metal Injection, the guys recorded three acoustic tracks and the videos are now online! Check out April below and Origin and Dream Brother after the jump.
Well, the time has come. The review that many have been waiting for is finally up. Tesseract’s ‘One’ was chosen as my ‘Most Anticipated Album of 2011’ due to my love of the ‘Concealing Fate EP’. So the question arises, has Tesseract been able to produce an album that satisfies? Have they been able to create that same magic? Find out after the jump!
Tesseract are making a huge scene in the metal world right now. Hell, their debut album isn’t even out yet and they got nominated for Best New Band in the UK Golden Gods (which I’m pretty sure they’re gonna get). Now, they hype is building up even more as they have released a video for their upcoming single ‘Nascent’, which is off their debut album ‘One’ (due for release next week, the 22nd). Check out the video below and then check after the jump for a comment from bassist Amos Williams about the Golden Gods nomination and tour dates for a full North American run.
If those exclusive pictures we showed you weren’t good enough, TesseracT have released a short teaser for their upcoming music video ‘Nascent’. TesseracT has teamed up with AOL Noisecreep to premiere the video for ‘The Impossible – Concealing Fate Part III’, which you can watch below. The footage was recorded in studio where the band performed the Concealing Fate EP with no edits or overdubs. The entire performance will be released on a DVD which will come with ‘One’ (due March 22nd).
