Housecore Horror Film Fest Unveils Full Band Lineup: Includes Goblin, Down, GWAR, And More

The Housecore Horror Film Fest, which takes place October 24th-27th in Austin, TX, has announced the full lineup of bands that will be performing. Including appearances from GWAR, Down, Pig Destroyer, Whitechapel, and more, the big performance, the one that everyone is talking about, is the appearance of Italian rockers Goblin, who will be performing their soundtrack to the Italian giallo classic Suspiriawhile the movie is playing!!! [Premiere] Watch The Entire ‘Black Metal’ Short Film

As a thank you to all of the faithful readers here at Bloody Disgusting, director Kat Candler, along with the Sundance Film Festival and YouTube, proudly present the World Premiere of Black Metal.

That’s right, you can watch the nine-minute short film online for free before its cinematic World Premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Black Metal will be available to screen from today, January 17th, until January 27th.

The short features Texan dark metallers Vesperian Sorrow as the Black Metal band, Crown Of Horns. In addition, there is music from Denmark’s Black Metal unit Horned Almighty and also Arkansas doomsters Pallbearer. Bloody Disgusting’s own Corey Mitchell worked on Black Metal as a heavy metal consultant, a true crime consultant, and as the music supervisor.

Royal Thunder Release Video For “Blue”: Announce N. American And European Tour Dates

Southern sludge metal band Royal Thunder has premiered a music video for their track “Blue” via Pitchfork. The song comes from their 2012 album CVI (review). You can watch the video below.

The band has also announced a string of N. American dates with Enslaved and Pallbearer and European tour dates with Pallbearer. You can see the tour dates below.

Singer/guitarist Minty Pasonz states, “This is a long awaited tour for both Royal Thunder and the many European fans who have reached out to us over the past couple of years. Trailer For Upcoming Short Film ‘Black Metal’ Released

Premiering at Sundance will be Kat Chandler’s (Saturday Morning Massacre) short film Black Metal. The synopsis states, “After a career spent mining his music from the shadows, one fan creates a chain reaction for the lead singer of a black metal band.” The 9-minute film features music from Vesperian Sorrow, Horned Almighty, and Pallbearer. The film stars Jonny Mars and Heather Kafka (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

Enslaved Touring N. American With Pallbearer, And Ancient VVisdom

Norwegian progressive metal band Enslaved will be touring N. America this winter with support coming from doom metal band Pallbearer (whose album Sorrow And Extinction is unbelievable) as well as Ancient VVisdom. The tour begins on Jan. 30th in Philadelphia and ends Feb. 22nd in New York. All tour dates are below.
