Batman: Arkham City Soundtrack Has New Songs From Coheed And Cambria, Serj Tankian, And More

Everyone who I know that has played Batman: Arkham Asylum absolutely loved it. Honestly, if you haven’t played it, get yourself an Xbox 360 or PS3 (your choice), get the game and don’t leave the room until you’ve beaten it. It’s because of how much I enjoyed the first game that I’m looking forward to Batman: Arkham City, which comes out Oct. 18th.

Today it was released that a soundtrack for the game will also be released that features brand new music from artists such as Panic! At The Disco, Serj Tankian, Coheed & Cambria, and many more.
Coheed & Cambria frotnman Claudio Sanchez said, “I write in a very conceptual format with the stories that surround Coheed and Cambria, but Batman has a much larger, defined history and rules that go along with it. My goal was to find universal themes from Batman’s existing history to help give the lyrics legs and dimension so that the song could live within that world.”

Both that song and their newest video for Ready To Go (which you can watch after the jump) come from their latest album Vices & Virtues, which marks the first album where it’s just singer/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith.
