Michael Poulsen of Volbeat comments, “In Europe and the U.S., we have enjoyed the experiences that come from being a part of the festival environment, just as the fans do. Looking forward to Carolina Rebellion!

Twisted Music Video Of The Week Vol. 53: Heaven’s Basement “Fire, Fire” [Free MP3]

I…I hear something. It’s close but I can’t see where it is. Is it…could it be? Oh, dear god! It is! It’s another Twisted Music Video Of The Week!

This week I’m bring you a band called Heaven’s Basement and their video for “Fire, Fire”, which comes off the upcoming debut album Filthy Empire. The album, which has no set release date aside from “early 2013″ and will be released via Red Bull Records, was produced by John Feldman (The Used, Papa Roach, Black Veil Brides). The video shows the band rocking out in front of a pile of tires (correction: a HUGE pile of tires) while clips of actual riots, forest fires, explosions, floods, and more are interspersed. You can check out the video below.

The song is pretty damn awesome. It’s a catchy “arena hard rock” track that hearkens back to days when a hard rock song was just plain old fun. You can also download the song for free by ‘Liking’ the band’s Official Facebook page here. READ MORE

Papa Roach Forced To Leave Rockstar Uproar Festival Due To Surgery

Papa Roach have cancelled all remaining tour dates on the Rockstar Uproar festival due to singer Jacoby Shaddix being diagnosed with a nodule on his left vocal chord. Doctors have advised Shaddix that he needs to undergo corrective surgery to remove the nodule to prevent further damage.

Shaddix explains, “It’s no secret that I’ve been having issues with my voice lately. I was hoping to be able to go out there and kill it on this tour by resting and doing vocal exercises, but my voice has just gone out on me. I hate to let our fans down, but unfortunately surgery is the only way to fix it. The last thing we want to do is give our fans less than 100% every night. We know they’ll understand and we’ll be back better than ever.

Starting Aug. 24th, the main stage acts of Godsmack, Staind, Shinedown, and Adelitas Way will have extended sets. READ MORE

UPDATE: [Album Review] Longreef ‘Dirty Motel EP’

Update: You can download a free track “Want Me Back” by clicking here.

Review by Chris Lockett: In this day and age, it is very difficult for a Rock band to be successful. The great Australian band AC/DC once said, “It’s a long way to the top if you wanna Rock n’ Roll”. And now, a new Aussie band is looking for success here in the U.S. Their name is Longreef, and they plan to release their second EP, entitled “Dirty Motel” on June 12th. They certainly have the drive to be a success, but do they have the talent? Hit the jump to find out! READ MORE
