Ermahgerd…There’s An Official “Gersberms” Music Video

So, TJ and I have this bad habit of talking in the “Ermahgerd” style when we play Minecraft. It’s either that or the Mort from Family Guy accent (you have no idea how well we pull that one off). And so when TJ shot me the link to an official “Gersberms” music video, I knew that it was something special, something…meaningful.

So, below, you can watch this amazing video from Hard N’ Phirm (Chris Hardwick and Mike Phirman) that features Paramore‘s Halley Williams as well as a badass guest rap from none other than Swedish Chef from The Muppets. Oh, and “Bjork” makes a small appearance as well. The video centers around two guys professing their love for a girl who just so happens to love the R.L. Stine Goosebumps series.

Oh, and if things couldn’t get any more awesome, Goosebumps author R.L. Stine even makes a small cameo at the end of the video. Check out the glorious video below! READ MORE

Original: Top 5 Rock N Roll Front Women (Past And Present)

It’s probably totally sexist to dedicate an entire article to the celebration of a handful of vocalists that are simply going to make this list because they are female. After all, the argument has been made to me endless times that it shouldn’t be about a person’s gender when you judge their music or skill. It should just be about being a damn good vocalist. But let’s be real here, people still find the presence of a woman, especially in a band, as some what of a novelty. The music world is male dominated, and even I will admit, I have a bias when it comes to the expectations I have for female fronted bands. And that’s exactly why these girls rock so much. All of them are talented as hell, and I’m proud to share a set of -ahem- parts with them. Sexism sucks – but these girls don’t. Here are my top 5 female rock vocalists, both historic and modern. Meat Loaf Announces Tour Dates

Meat Loaf will embark on a summer North American tour beginning July 3rd in support of his star-studded forthcoming album Hang Cool Teddy Bear, it was announced today.  Meat Loaf’s new Hang Cool Teddy Bear, whose title was taken from a line in Beyond The Valley of the Dolls, was produced by Rob Cavallo and features guest appearances by Jack Black, Hugh Laurie, Kara DioGuardi, Queen’s Brian May and Steve Vai.  The highly anticipated album is due out May 11th from Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records. Free single downloads from the new album will be included in the price of the ticket in select markets.  The first single from Hang Cool Teddy Bear, “Like a Rose,” debuted on AOL’s Spinner.com last Friday.

The CD’s theme was inspired by screenwriter/director Kilian Kerwin’s story.  A soldier who has been wounded in battle thinks he is going to die.  Instead of his life flashing backward at the prospect, his life flashes forward into what could have been.  The inter-related songs are the different scenarios he finds himself in.  It’s not always the same time or place, but it is always the same woman.  The first video, “Los Angeloser,” tells a tale of a bad significant other who takes advantage of a generous lover.  (Who hasn’t been there?!)
