Watch People Scream During ‘Paranormal Activity 4′!

Paramount Pictures has released their (now annual) “audience reaction” clip for Paranormal Activity 4. It looks like a lot of the stuff you’re seeing in the clips is actually in the movie this time, for those people who were disappointed with the perceived bait and switch that PA3 pulled.

This fourth film from creator/producer Oren Peli utilizes modern technology as it follows a family that lives across the street from a group of witches. In theaters October 19, Catfish duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who helmed the third film, direct once again.

BREAKING: Paramount To Tease Latino “Spin-Off” During ‘Paranormal Activity 4′ End Credits

Bloody Disgusting has received inside intel that Paramount Pictures is planning something special for their October 19th release of Paranormal Activity 4. We’re being told exclusively that fans who stay post-credits will be treated to a short clip teasing the 2013 release of the studio’s unnamed Latino Paranormal Activity spinoff. This has not been confirmed.

The film was first reported on in April. Christopher Landon (Disturbia) will write and direct the project, described by sources as a “cousin” to the Paranormal movies but actually not a sequel or reboot. The movie will be Latino-themed, will star a Latino cast and will tackle Catholic-based paranormal mythology. It will not, however, be in Spanish. Landon also penned both Paranormal Activity 2 and 3.

PA4, from creator/producer Oren Peli, utilizes modern technology as it follows a family that lives across the street from a group of witches. Catfish duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who helmed the third film, direct once again.

[Interview] Producer Jason Blum Talks ‘Insidious 2′, ‘Paranormal Activity 5′, ‘Dark Skies’ And ‘The Purge’ At The Opening Of ‘Blumhouse Of Horrors’!

Last night I attended a preview of Jason Blum’s Los Angeles haunted attraction, “The Blumhouse Of Horrors”. While what I saw wasn’t 100% finished, it was certainly impressive. It’s not so much a maze as it is a building full of haunts, characters, magic and smoke. I took a guided tour, which is not a VIP thing, it’s how the attraction is meant to be experienced since your guides are pretty creepy as well. There’s a lot of cool stuff to see (and feel – I know BD alum Brian Collins even got zapped). There’s also a neat feature that had the claustrophobic in me absolutely reeling. If you live in LA, and are a fan of haunted houses, I certainly recommend it.

The Blumhouse of Horrors opens on October 4th and will be open to the public Thursday through Saturday throughout October. And it’s open the entire week of Halloween. Info and tickets are available on the official site. You can also follow the Blumhouse Facebook and Twitter for more info.

After experiencing the attraction I sat down with Jason Blum to talk about his inspiration for the experience and how he tailored it to fit the building’s unique space. We also talked about some if his upcoming films. Insidious 2 seems to be just a click away and the existence of Paranormal Activity 5 seems to be a given at this point. We also talk about Dark Skies and the Ethan Hawke-starring Vigilandia, which is now titled The Purge. Head inside for the interview, it’s short but sweet! READ MORE

Katie Featherston Confirms (More Or Less) An Appearance In ‘Paranormal Activity 4′

Catfish duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are back for Paranormal Activity 4 after directing Paranormal Activity 3. And we know someone else we’re betting is back too. Katie Featherston.

I caught up with her last night on the red carpet for the Eyegore Awards (which kicked off this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood) and pressed her about her potential appearance in the film. “I know! I hear it on the internet, so of course it’s true! I actually don’t know one way or the other but I know that they’re working busily to put [the film] together and that everyone seems super excited. I keep up with Oren Peli and Jason Blum all the time. Fingers crossed I get the hookup before it comes out!

Were told that the sequel will explore the family of witches we saw in PA3 (who live next door to a newly introduced family) in this fourth film from creator/producer Oren Peli. There are some inside naysayers to this Katie Featherston theory, so I guess we’ll find out on October 19th! Or earlier if you’re in one of the cities that “wants it.” If you “want it” early in your town head over here and vote or hit up the official Facebook

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights dates are September 21, 22, 28, 29 and October 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 31.

New Pic From ‘Paranormal Activity 4′ Plays Coy

Catfish duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are back for Paranormal Activity 4 after directing Paranormal Activity 3. For my money PA3 is actually the best in the series (at least until they leave the house and go to grandma’s or whatever) so I’m fairly curious to see where they go here. One thing’s for sure – the only thing this pic confirms is that this chick is careful. After all, she has a case for her iPhone!

Were told that the sequel will explore the family of witches we saw in PA3 (who live next door to a newly introduced family) in this fourth film from creator/producer Oren Peli. Via Facebook, Paramount Pictures released a new image associated with Paranormal Activity 4, which moves next door on October 19. Finally! The Full Trailer For ‘Paranormal Activity 4′!!!

After three teasers for this thing we finally have the full trailer for Paranormal Activity 4, which marks the return of Paranormal Activity 3 directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.

The poster reveal earlier today indicated that the film takes place in November of 2011, which is a far cry from the 1980′s setting of Part 3 (my personal favorite in the series). The film seems to primarily concern a young high school student and a creepy kid next door (Toby made flesh?). Looks pretty good! The “front door open, back door open” bit is well executed.

Joost and Schulman co-directed Catfish independently before it was acquired by Universal. PA 3 has made over $200 million at the box office worldwide, while the entire Paranormal Activity franchise has pulled in approximately $577 worldwide at the box office alone making it a near billion dollar franchise (when you include home video).

Paramount releases PA4 on October 19, 2012. Head inside for the trailer. Not sure if it will top PA3 for me, but who knows? READ MORE

‘Paranormal Activity 4′ Asks “What Really Happened?”

After three teasers I really hope this isn’t the trailer for Paranormal Activity 4 that’s been dangled in front of us all week long.

This 42 second teaser features the blond woman from the previous three clips – and some tangible footage (that courtesy of the poster we know takes place in November, 2011) – but man is it short! The clip is called “What Really Happened?” I’m betting that this isn’t the full trailer and that we’ll be seeing something longer shortly. Still, at least it has some new footage I guess.
