To celebrate the launch of Dead Space 3 in Europe, EA collaborated with the Dernier Bar Avant la Fin du Monde in Paris to hold an exhibit exclusively showcasing Dead Space fan art. It’s beautiful, and easily some of the best I’ve ever seen. Because it’s Dead Space, you might think it’d be pretty macabre, but that isn’t the case. There’s a little bit of every style. Pop art? Check. Typographic art? Check. Gritty, bloody, and twisted art? Check, check, and check. See for yourself after the jump.
To promote the release of Dead Space 3 in Europe (it launches on Feb 8th), the Dernier Bar Avant la Fin du Monde in Paris has partnered with Electronic Arts and Geek-Art to host an art exhibit that’s all about Dead Space. This is so much more than an advertisement for the game; it’s a celebration of one of the most artistically innovative games of this generation. Whether you love it or not, there’s no denying the impact the series has had, especially when it comes to integrating the interface (health, inventory, etc.) with the world so it’s less intrusive. I have a sample of the incredible art that’s being shown at the exhibit patiently waiting for you after the break.
Obviously this is a joke, but I’m also referencing a very cool bit of promotion for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus – a subway stop.
Translated from Golem 13, “The Saint-Martin subway station has been closed since 1939, but the marketing team behind Prometheus has transformed it into the surface of Ridley Scott’s alien world. By the looks of it, passengers won’t be able to disembark; they’ll merely be able to snatch glimpses of it as their train passes by.”
The actual film is in theaters June 8. Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Guy Pearce, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Benedict Wong, Emun Elliott, Ben Foster, Patrick Wilson all star.

Battlefield 3. What more could I possibly say about this game? It looks ridiculously incredible. Every new video or trailer that’s released makes me sad and angry. Sad and angry that the damn game isn’t already in my Xbox taking over my free time and ruining my life (in a good way).
October 25th is the day. PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360. READ MORE
