Piranha 3DD Teaser of Teaser is Mother Effin Awesome! (In High Quality Too!)

Even with Dimension Films pulling the sequel from its November slot, the studio premiered a teaser of the teaser trailer for John Gulager’s Piranha 3DD on Spike TV’s Scream Awards last night! The footage, while super short, is out of this world amazing. I’m not a big fan of Alex Aja’s remake, but THIS little guy looks like the filmmakers got the point.

This time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park. Feast director John Gulager reunited with writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan for the sequel.

Grab a drink and a cheeseburger because David Hasselhoff is heading back to the water in this year’s Piranha 3DD. He joins the previously announced cast which includes Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka and David Koechner.

Trading in the sandy beaches of “Baywatch” for terror at The Big Wet Water Park, Hasselhoff will face off with the flesh eating fish of Piranha 3DD on November 23, 2011.

Writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan reteam with Feast director John Gulgar for this wet and wild bloodfest.

Bloody Disgusting received breaking news that Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) and Paul Scheer (“The League,” “Human Giant”) have signed on to join the cast of Piranha 3DD after surviving last year’s feast.

The boys are back but will they survive another sharp toothed invasion?

They join the previously announced Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager, Gary Busey and Katrina Bowden, while “this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.”

Piranha 3DD is currently in production and will splash into theaters nationwide on November 23, 2011.

Filming is officially set for the end of May in North Carolina for John Gulager’s Piranha 3 Double D, which reteams him with Feast writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dustan.

This afternoon we got our hand on the first ever plot details: The sequel continues down the path of “ridiculous” as the piranha this time make their way into swimming pools, pipes, plumping and such at a newly opened waterpark named “Wilderness Waters”! The race is on to save the town from these flesh-eating creatures that are leaving a bloodbath in their wake.

In theaters November 23, Dimension Films is working on ensuring a “real” 3-dimensional experience. I want to see even more gore!
