V/H/S/2 hit VOD last week and this clip is one of the reasons everyone is talking about it. You can find the iTunes and Apple TV link here. The clip below (via Machinima) is from the Gareth Evans and Timo Tjahjanto segment – “Safe Haven” – and I can’t help but grin with delight whenever I see it. What follows these events is “off the hook” as the kids might say.

I don’t think I’m as skeptical about Batman Arkham Origins and many others. Though I am that way about a lot of things. I do love me a good origin story as well. The main force driving the story of Arkham Origins is that there is a 50 million dollar bounty on Batman’s head. So all the badies in town are out to kill him dead. Spoiler alert, he lives. I know, shocker, but supposedly there have been a couple games about him already released. Check out the new game play trailer past the break!

I’m sure deep down a lot of you wished you could be as cool as Mad Max. Well you get the next best thing. You get to play as him in his very own video game! Hooray! The freshly announced game will be an open world 3rd person shooter, but it will also focus heavily on vehicular warfare. You’ll spend your time wandering the wasteland in fighting bandits and building the ultimate combat vehicle. The game is being developed by Avalanche Studios, who are behind the Just Cause series. Check out an awesome announcement trailer past the break. The game will be hitting the consoles hard in 2014 on the PC, Playstation 3 and 4, and the Xbox 360 and One.

While V/H/S/2 is scheduled to hit VOD platforms on June 6th, you should be aware that basically means MIDNIGHT tonight. If you’re on iTunes/AppleTV, my experience dictates that it’ll be out just a little after 9PM on the West Coast (with the theatrical rollout set for July 12th). Things have been fairly hush hush about Square Enix’s murder mystery game Murdered: Soul Suspect. If you head past the break however you can see the first official trailer. It looks great, and the leave an obvious hint at the end about E3 this year. So we definitely have more in store for us next week. It also hints a little bit at their next video which looks to show some gameplay. The game is looking to come out on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Though E3 might spread the game to our upcoming consoles.

There’s no doubt that you can’t just take Diablo III and throw it on a console. It has to be carefully and gently taken over and reformed a bit. And one thing that really needs forming is the whole controller situation. Because you have a lot more possibilities with a keyboard, transferring all those key strokes to a controller takes some finesse. Since Diablo III is also coming to the Playstation 4, there is that magical new touch pad sitting so comfortably on the top of the new Dual Shock 4 controller that will also be used to make playing the game easier and more interesting. Way way back in April Xbox 360 users exclusively got their hands on the latest Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising Multiplayer Map. Well it has finally come to the PC and Playstation 3. Mob of the Dead is exactly as it sounds. Some of your favorite Hollywood mobsters, Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, Chazz Palminteri and Joe Pantoliano, go up against the dead. Mob of the Dead isn’t a standalone however, it comes as part of the Uprising Map Pack. Get the details on the maps, and the Mob screens past the break. Not too many comic related characters gone video games come out very well. But I am incredibly excited for the upcoming Deadpool game. It really looks like they’re going about it the right way. It looks like it doesn’t take itself too seriously, especially because Deadpool himself is quite the jokester. It also looks pretty fun and pretty gory. What more could we ask for? Some of the original masters of video game horror are trying to get back to their roots, and get you back to shitting your pants. In this latest developer diary Shock and Panic the devs go into some things they did in the game to freak you the hell out. From increasing the tempo of the music to enemies spawning in random places, it seems the scare factors have been much more thought out than in the past couple games. Bethesda Softworks just announced the next game in the Wolfenstein franchise and it will be known as Wolfenstein: The New Order. Bethesda is going at it hard with this new Wolfenstein and The Evil Within, and I say cheers to that! The game will be coming out in the 4th quarter of this year, on the PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, AND the next gen consoles. Exciting! They haven’t revealed much more about the game thus far, but I’m thinking it may be a bit more action oriented based on the trailer you can check out past the break. What do you guys think, excited? Nay?

I couldn’t be more excited for the release of Resident Evil Revelations when it comes out on the Xbox 360. If I had a 3DS I would have already played the hell out of it. Not often does a trailer move me with its absolute awesomeness. Well, the launch trailer for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is one of those few. I can sit here and try to explain to you how the Grindhouse trailer guy voices this trailer, or how it’s one of the biggest best nods to 80′s actions flicks. Or about how the game takes place in 2007 because back in the 80s they thought the 2000′s were going to literally look like outer space. Just head past the break and check out cool it is. We all know Techland. They brought us the wonderful Dead Island. But now they’re switching things up a bit and bringing you a first person slasher where you fight against the armies of hell. The game looks like a much more demonic version of a Skyrim or Oblivion. And there’s looting. Maybe one of my favorite things ever. My friends despise me for my extra time spent looting. You can enjoy the campaign on your own, or you and up to 3 others can play against each other white fighting each other monsters and racking up points. The graphics Quantic Dream cranks out scare me. They scare me into thinking when I play their games my PlayStation is going to melt because it can’t handle it. They recently showed off their latest game Beyond: Two Souls at the Tribeca Film festival, and what a perfect place to show it off because the game is practically a movie itself. Check out the Tribeca trailer past the break, and some amazing screenshots as well. The game will release on October 8th exclusively on the PlayStation 3.
