‘Dead Space 3′ Needed To Be More Action Oriented To Grow

In an interview with Now Gamer Dead Space 1 writer Antony Johnston states that the action in Dead Space 3 is “a necessary evil in order to broaden the fan base.” He goes on to say that was the plan from the start. “I know the developers always wanted to go bigger, in terms of scope. And I’ve mentioned before that the universe we created was huge, with lots of elements, which simply didn’t make it into the first game.” He’s right. People definitely complain about the over the top action in the new Resident Evil, but would have keeping it stuck so small have stunted its growth? I think Visceral Games probably has that fear. But when you create such a big universe in a game series, it’s hard to keep it from growing. Read the full interview/article HERE!

The Second Part In The ‘Tomb Raider’ Survival Guide Cracks Exploration Wide Open

Past Tomb Raider games were somewhat streamlined. There wasn’t much room for extensive exploration apart from the main storyline. In the new Tomb Raider you have a map of the island you’re stuck on and there is a lot more you can explore. In the video past the break ‘Guide To Survival Episode #2′, you will learn all about it. There are a lot more areas to explore, and many you can not progress in unless Lara herself has gotten the right items, weapons, or skills learned to do so. I love this because the Tomb Raider games definitely needed to take a turn in the direction of open exploration. But in case you don’t want to stray too far from your main mission you can easily get right back on track using your map. Check out the video past the break.

‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Trailer Blurs The Line Between Good And Evil

NetherRealm studios the masterminds behind Mortal Kombat are hard at work on their next game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Straying a bit out of the normal, the game features a very in depth story filled with characters from the DC Comic Universe. It looks as if the game will do what the newest Mortal Kombat did engaging you in a story while sporadically throwing you into Mortal Kombat style one on one (maybe more?) fights. Check out the heart pounding ‘The Line’ trailer below.

Look out for the games release April 19th on the Playstation 3, WiiU, and Xbox 360. Also, was that Bruce Willis in that trailer?
