Gotham City Impostors was announced not too long ago, and in my head it was hard to picture what they were going for. But the video below shows off exactly what they’re going for. And it’s looking pretty awesome so far. Basically, it’s going to be a 1st person shooter (multiplayer slayer only).
“Gotham City Impostors blows apart expectations for superhero games with an exaggerated take on first person shooters, set in a part of the DC Universe players have never seen before,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Monolith is creating a game that turns Gotham City upside down and we think fans are going to have a blast with this creative twist on multiplayer heroism and anti-heroism as they play up the classic rivalry between Batman and The Joker.” Screens past the break. The Playstation Network has been down for what seems like forever, though it has been about a month. Well, upon it’s triumphant (right?) return, they will be giving all those who suffered through the loss some free stuff. Honestly we should all be thankful we are getting anything at all. I know you couldn’t play your precious Call Of Duty which you don’t pay to play online. The only deserving ones are those who pay for the PS+ service.
They will be welcoming everyone back officially quite soon, and that’s when you will get a crack at your free stuff. The free items you will be lucky enough to receive are for the United States and Canada only. However those in EUROPE or LATIN AMERICA can read about their packages. Now head past the break to check out your free shit! READ MORE
Just announced from Warner Brothers and Monolith Productions is Gotham City Impostors. The most interesting part, is that it is going to be a first person shooter. The game will revolve around Gotham City as it is being fought over for control.
In the game you’ll be a character customized to your own specifications, but you will actually be posing as amateur villains. So far it sounds like it will be a 1st person multiplayer shooter based on Batman. Massive person and character customization. It will also have maps and modes inspired by Batman. Sounds pretty awesome! READ MORE
No Time To Explain immediately caught my eye when I saw it’s 1st trailer. It should be out on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade this summer. I’m pretty damn excited about it, cause it looks like crazy old school Nintendo platforming fun. Check out some actual game play below.
For those who don’t already know, a little over a week ago the Playstation Network was hacked. What does that mean for you? Well the hackers now have all of your information. Whatever payment device you use to make your PSN purchases, your name, address, all that good stuff. They now have it.
So, keep an eye on that credit or debit card, maybe even consider canceling it, or asking for a card number change. Sony is now (finally) deciding to beef up their security. You can read about it HERE, and look below the article in the “see also” area for connecting articles. (A QUICK UPDATE FROM THE SEXY ADAM DODD) While our personal info was taken when PSN was hacked, all credit card info was encrypted. So while it’s still possible for hackers to find a way to get it, you probably don’t need to cancel your cards. READ MORE

Update: Just to clarify, this was an April Fool’s Day joke (As if you didn’t know this already).
Capcom is smart. Maybe too smart. There has been a TON of Resident Evil news, and games being announced lately. The masses have been happy and mad about the announcements, but that seems to be the way with anything these days. Thanks to the internet, everyone has a “voice”. What does that mean? Everyone now has a pair of big ol’ hairy balls connected to their fingers so they can say whatever they want.
But I’m getting off subject. It would seem since the announcement of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has gotten such a great response, that Capcom decided that Resident Evil Outbreak, and Outbreak File 2 have been announced for the Playstation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade. Not just ported over, but just like RE4 and Code V, remastered in HD. I can’t express my excitement just through words. I’ve been wanting this for YEARS. I asked for it so many times on the Dead Pixels Podcast, finally! READ MORE

Now that the picture below grabbed your attention, I can get down to the nerdy end of things. The gaming industry in 2010 brought in somewhere over 33 billion dollars, and that is with sales of around 3.2 billion games. Those are amazing numbers to see in such a terrible economy. It goes to show us gamers the industry is not going to slow down for anyone ever.
If you head past the break you can see the 33 Billion broken down by console, dlc, android, etc. READ MORE

Not too long ago Amy was ANNOUNCED for the Playstation Network. There was only one screen shot shown, and it was of some horrible creature and I was immediately pumped for the game.
Well in Amy, in the town of Silver City a comet crashes in the town and unleashes some kind of virus that turns the citizens into horrifying flesh hungry monsters. It is supposed to come out later this year exclusively for the Playstation Network, but I want it NOW. You can check out one more new screen past the break. READ MORE

Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime is a PC, Playstation Network, Xbox Live Arcade joint that is looking at a March 23rd release date. READ MORE
