X-Men Arcade Out Now! 1992 In The Palm Of Your Hand

A lot of you probably don’t remember playing the X-Men Arcade game, and a lot of you (sadly) probably don’t really remember arcades. There sure aren’t many arcades left. The random nickel arcade, or a few games in a restaurant, bar, bowling alley or movie theater. Dave and Busters, eh sort of, and Gameworks. But the true arcades are mostly gone forever, and they show no signs of making a comeback.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

I was lucky enough to see Scott Pilgrim in theaters just before it was pulled. The theater was empty aside from my cohorts and I. Just the way I like it. I can be loud and obnoxious and that makes me happy. The movie (I thought) was incredible. Lot’s of fun, lots of action, nerd references left and right. A video game a comic book lovers delight.

So what better to follow up the movie? The game of course. Just like in the movie you must battle through Romona Flowers’ evil ex’s to win her love and prove you can be with her. In sweet 8-Bit graphics. Check out more info past the break. READ MORE

The X-Men Arcade Game From 1992, On The Playstation Network And Xbox Live Arcade?!

Yeah, you read that title right. And it’s about DAMN time this starts happening more. I’m sure all of you semi oldies like me remember spending countless hours in arcades, Pizza Huts, movie theaters, just to name a few. Playing X-Men, and many other classic arcade games. Can we get the Simpsons arcade game on the consoles next?

The game will have 6 player drop in co-op. Which basically means you should be able to drop in an out of online games with your friends as you please. You will also be able to choose your difficulty if you are feeling like an arcade expert badass. Screen shots past the break. The exact release is not yet known, but it looks like it will be out this fall on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. READ MORE

Its A Nation, OF DEAD!!!!

Remember Robotron 2084? Smash TV? Well you should. Many many games nowadays stuck a needle into the vein of Smash TV and Robotron, sucked out the sweet sweet juices, and used them to create new games. Dead Nation is one of those.

There isn’t much to the story. Which is totally fine. There doesn’t need to be more to the story then you are some guy trying to survive in a crazy zombie apocalypse. And that’s what it is. Past the break for more! READ MORE

Shank

Shank Review: It’s Bloody Good Fun

It’s tough following the excellent games the annual Summer of Arcade gave us this year. This time around there was something for everyone; If you have a friend there’s the fantastic cooperative Lara Croft title, if you have more than one friend there’s Monday Night Combat, or if you like to go it alone there’s Limbo. So Shank was following a great lineup of games.

Online leaderboards as well, and hopefully for certain games online multiplayer (fingers crossed).

“The Dreamcast is fondly remembered by a large community of dedicated fans as a console that was ahead of its time in terms of graphics, quality and online gaming” commented Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA of America and SEGA Europe. “There are few things that are more requested from us than making Dreamcast classics available for download in today’s digital market place. Kick Ass, The Game

Kick Ass the movie comes out this Friday in theaters, so why not release a crime fighting bloody as hell game to go with it? You’ll be able to get the game on the Playstation Network April 29th, and on the portable Apple devices April 17th. The game will cost $14.99 on the PSN, and $2.99 on the Apple appliances.

In the game you will be able to play as Kick Ass, Hit Girl, and Big Daddy. I’m not sure why they left Red Mist out, laziness? The game is 3rd person, will feature 12 story missions, and 2 bonus rounds, and as you can tell by the video is full of gore. The game only has local co-op multiplayer (cough shitty cough). In a game like this, where you have 4 main characters, there should be 4 player co-op online multiplayer. But for some reason they left out a main character, and screwed you on online multiplayer. Past the break for screens. READ MORE
