‘Batman Arkham Origins’ Announced, Excitement Rioting Ensues

Yes you heard it right, it looks as if our pal Bruce Wayne will be going the Lara Croft route. Batman Arkham Origins will take Batman back to the early days of his career. The game takes place years before the events of Arkham Asylum and before crime has overcome Gotham. You will play as an unrefined Batman, and meet a lot of classic characters in the story of an up and coming Batman. Also announced is Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. It allows you to continue the Origins campaign on Nintendo and Sony’s handheld systems. Blackgate will be a 2.5D “companion game” to Origins. Origins will be releasing October 25th of this year on the PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and WiiU. Head past the break if you’d like to gander at some pack shots.

If you read our PREMATURE EVALUATION of Silent Hill: Book Of Memories then you may already know I think this game is going to be pretty terrible. Though I must say after seeing some of these screen shots, the ones you can see past the break, I have a little more faith in the game. Not much, but a little. I mean it looks like the gore is there, the fucked up monsters, amazing looking locales, but is it enough to make this a good game? Or should it be stripped of all Silent Hill branding?

Mortal Kombat is ‘getting over here’ on the Playstation Vita. (That was for Adam) If you check out the video below, you can see you’ll be able to fight using your Playstation Vita’s camera. What does that mean? Your surroundings becoming the games surroundings. Fight your friends on your Vita with your bathroom as the background, as you shit and use fatalities.

The game is said to have tons of new contest as well as a new challenge tower with 150 new missions, touch screen fatalities and more. The game will be coming out sometime this spring, and the Vita will be coming out next week on the 22nd. So, who’s getting one? READ MORE
