Two for the price of none (I totally forgot to post about “Double Murder” last week!)

In this month’s Double Murder, Danny! and Tim review Student Bodies and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil in a clash of horror comedies! Will the campy, National Lampoon’s-esque Student Bodies crack the guys up more than 2010′s insta-classic, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil? Tune in to find out the answer and find out why Tim was rushed to the ER only a few short hours after the taping of episode 38…this month on “Double Murder!”

The horror is starting to roll in and we here at News From the Crypt couldn’t be more excited! To get everyone in the mood for this holiday season, Danny! is joined by Lauren Taylor (of News From The Crypt fame) as they review two holiday treats: Rare Exports and Santa’s Slay! Both films tackle the age-old question of “What if Santa was actually a murderous beast?” from completely different angles.

Rare Exports, a Finnish film from 2010, examines the subject with a serious eye, blending the myth of Santa Claus with the classic “…archeologists start digging and uncover…” trope. Santa’s Slay, from 2005, takes a decidedly more tongue-in-cheek approach casting pro-wrestling star Goldberg as a wise-crackin’, neck-breakin’ Santa. I can’t tell you how much I love The Real Tuesday Weld‘s The Last Werewolf: A Soundtrack. It’s one of those albums that I keep coming back to, putting on, and just leaving so it can play from beginning to end. Which is why I love that BD Music scored an exclusive three-part podcast conducted by Ben Eshmade of Fairy Tales & Monsters on Arctic Circle Radio with author Glen Duncan and Stephen Coates, frontman of The Real Tuesday Weld.
