[Random Cool] Groovy Blacklight ‘Suspiria’ Poster For Your Bedroom

Speaking of Suspiria, “Bang! Media” artist Jeremy Wheeler has created a groovy new blacklight poster for the film via the Silver Screen Society.

About “Witch” – “a blacklight silkscreen print made in conjunction with Silver Screen Society’s month of Suspiria art series. The hand-drawn pen-and-ink artwork portrays both the ominous and terrifying portions of the lm in equal measure, with added detail dedicated to the unique architecture featured in the lm. Measuring 18”x24,” the 3-color print was screened with a unique blacklight process developed through multiple projects by the artist and printing studio VG Kids. When put under UV light, the already vibrant red turns an electric pink/magenta, while the green remains intense under both.

‘Pacific Rim’ Unleashes A Huge Jaeger In New One Sheet

Warners has released a new official one sheet for Guillermo del Toro’s (apparently awesome) Pacific Rim. This one teases the size of one of the giant Jaegers as it strides down a destroyed city block. Also, I’m thankful this isn’t another viral image.

In the film, “When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes-a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)-who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

[Exclusive] Amazing Alternate Poster For ‘Black Rock’ Goes For Retro Horror

After playing last year’s Sundance Film Festival, Katie Aselton’s Black Rock was acquired by LD Entertainment (The Collection) for a theatrical run. I haven’t seen the film yet, but I’m a big fan of Aselton’s film The Freebie and her co-stars here, Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth. I’m also a fan of this amazing alternate poster that has a balmy, yet threatening, tone and color scheme.

In the thriller, “Three childhood friends set aside their personal issues and reunite for a girls’ weekend on a remote island off the coast of Maine. One wrong move turns their weekend getaway into a deadly fight for survival.

Bigfoot Done Right! You’ve Gotta See This Amazing ‘Willow Creek’ Poster!

A few months back we reported that God Bless America and World’s Greatest Dad director Bobcat Goldthwait was working on a found footage Bigfoot movie called Willow Creek. It looks like he’s further along than I anticipated, the film will be premiering at the Boston Independent Film Festival on April 29th and Badass Digest has a look the amazing poster from artist Alex Pardee.

I’m still not exactly sure what tone the film will have. It’s a narrative, and it’s found footage – but it also appears as though there will be some interviews with real-life Bigfoot believers as well. We’ll find out soon enough I suppose. READ MORE

‘Maniac’ Peers Out From The Shadows In This New Japanese Poster!

I still haven’t seen Franck Khalfoun’s Maniac (which Mr. Disgusting calls a masterpiece), starring Elijah Wood. It hits select theaters and VOD platforms June 21, but it also seemse to be getting a release in Japan, which makes total sense. I think the Japanese culutre has a stronger stomach for this type of film that American mainstream culture. So it makes sense that we now have a cool new Japanese poster for this “modern horror classic” (review here).

In the remake, “Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank (Wood) is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

New ‘Evil Dead’ Poster Has A Different Image But Starts Out Small…

As we’re getting down to the wire there’s another poster for Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead, the remake to Sam Raimi’s horror classic that stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore and Jessica Lucas. I loved the film (my review here) so, while this poster is currently too small to read where the quotes are coming from, I know at least one of them is mine.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends who become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist’s tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization. Playing the taped incantations, the youths unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

‘Dead Space’ Meets ‘The Thing’ In This Insanely Cool Poster (That Would Look Amazing On My Wall)

There are mashup posters and then there are mashup posters, and it’s safe to say that this fan-made piece of art falls firmly into the latter category. Deviant Artist ron-guyatt has combined two of my favorite things: John Carpenter’s The Thing and Dead Space by featuring series’ protagonist Isaac Clarke in the iconic movie poster. It’s gorgeous and the timing is perfect with Dead Space 3 releasing next week — that’s February 5th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. In it Clarke find himself in a situation familiar to fans of The Thing as he battles legions of Necromorphs on the icy planet of Tau Volantis. ‘Warm Bodies’ Goes The Propaganda Route With New Poster!

Summit Entertainment has just released a new poster for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and 50/50 director Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies. I really like the unique tone to all the materials we’ve seen thus far (check out Part One of my Set Visit here) and this one sheet is no exception. Its use of propaganda iconography is nicely in step with the theme of the film.

In theaters February 1, “Warm Bodies is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich and Analeigh Tipton all star. Head inside for the poster! READ MORE

Backwoods Horror Marches On In ‘Get Out Alive’

For low-budget horror fare, the backwoods setting is a staple. It’s cheap, easy to shoot and justifies a road trip. Not thgat I;m complaining, I’d much rather wach hicksploitation than a sh*tty ghost movie. Get Out Alive was written and directed by Clay DuMaw and stars David Fichtenmayer, Rhiannon Skye Roberts, David Iannotti, Tyler Sutton, Jay Storey, Jesse Maner and Jarad Hooge.

In the film, “While driving home from their summer vacation, siblings Paul and Marilyn find themselves stranded at a desolate truck-stop when their car breaks down along the back roads of upstate New York. Before long, they discover that a strange creature is being held in a cage behind the local auto shop, and the shop’s mechanic, along with his assistant, plan on feeding them to it. In their attempt to escape, Paul and Marilyn fall prey to these two homicidal locals, bent on preserving the secret of their bloodthirsty pet monster.
