Lez b honest here. These video game trailers and commercials are looking so good lately it’s actually making me mad. Because we watch Hollywood time and time again rape our favorite video games. I’m still waiting for confirmation that Nathan Fillion will be playing Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movies. Alas we are stuck with these incredible love action commercials and trailers from video games that look better than the shitty video game movies that get cranked out. Check out the video past the break, if you haven’t already seen the commercial.
The video below shows you maybe too much that has to do with Prototype 2. It shows you a lot of cool stuff. Maybe too much. The internet is a huge spoiler for every game before it comes out. Remember getting a Nintendo Power Magazine and seeing a 2 page spread on a game? OMG Mom I HAVE TO HAVE THIS! Not anymore, anything you want is at the mercy of google. Enough of my ranting! Watch with caution, and enjoy!
Dark Horse announced today that they will be teaming up with Radical Entertainment for an all new digital comic leading into the highly anticipated video game, Prototype 2 (due out in April). The three part, bi-weekly series will see a bunch of different creators and will be available through Dark Horse Digital starting in February. Anyone who played the first installment of Prototype knows how insane and bloody that shape-shifting world can be (you can seriously toss people across the city). Preview art is calling your name down below. Read on for the skinny
Prototype 2 is all about having fun. It’s like Just Cause 2 or Saints Row in that you’re given a huge world to explore and a vast assortment of tools with which to destroy it. I really enjoyed the first game, despite its flaws, and the next one looks like it’s taking everything to a whole other level. How many games let you karate kick helicopters and throw your enemies halfway across the city? I can’t say for sure but I think it’s safe to say there aren’t many that offer that type of fun, and now it looks like we can add “pulsating tendril action” to the ever-growing list of amazing features in Prototype 2.
Usually when I whip out my pulsating tendril in a public space I’m met with wide-eyes and a lot of laughter. Thanks to Prototype 2 that laughter will be replaced by screams and bloodshed when the game releases sometime next year. READ MORE
In Prototype 2 you play as Sargent James Heller. In the video below, he throws someone. Really, really far. I don’t really know why. But I’m more excited to kick a helicopter in half.
Heller returns home from overseas and finds out because of what happened in the first game, he lost his family. He finds Alex Mercer and tries to kill him, but Mercer obviously stronger, overpowers him and forcefully injects him with the blacklight virus. Expect to see Prototype 2 sometime next year on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. READ MORE
Prototype 2 was a surprise reveal at last year’s Spike VGAs, but we were only given a small taste of what the game would be all about. Now, that all changes with an extended version of the teaser that was shown at the VGAs and it actually looks pretty great. But why don’t you check it out below and decide for yourself.
See? I wouldn’t lie to you. Well, I would, but only a harmless lie like Oh, you definitely don’t look fat in those jeans. But not about something serious like this. Prototype 2 releases sometime late next year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. READ MORE
Prototype 2 is in the works and it doesn’t look like we will be seeing it until 2012. Which sucks, because it means we have to wait to do what the video below shows us.
The devs for Prototype 2 are doing what I love, and think all game devs should do. They are taking all the feedback from critics, fans, etc and using it to make P2 better than the original. That’s why Assassins Creed 2 turned out 100 times better than the 1st game. Because the devs listened. A lot of game developers seem to really have a good thing going, but they seem to miss a few key marks. And surprisingly enough sometimes it takes hundreds of thousands of game fans to point them out. IF you haven’t seen it already head past the break for the games announcement trailer. READ MORE
It’s understandable if you missed the awards show this year, perhaps you were busy reading a particularly interesting book, watching a good movie or simply had better things to do. I don’t blame you for having a life but it’d be a shame to miss out on all the goods this year’s VGAs had to offer. Many we expected, some were rumored and a few managed to surprise (Elder Scrolls V!).

Let the viral marketing commence! Murder Your Maker is one of those sites we’re all used to by now that’s created with the soul purpose of hyping up a game. Unlike most viral sites however, this one looks to have given away too much in its incredibly brief teaser that you can check out by hitting that adorable ‘Read More’ button below.
I enjoyed the first Prototype because despite its numerous flaws it got one very important thing right: it was fun. With the exception of Saint’s Row too many sandbox games toss ‘fun’ in the backseat so they can better focus on pesky little things like realism or visuals. It’s because of this that I will always choose Saint’s Row 2 over Grand Theft Auto IV, because I have absolutely no desire to go bowling with my cousin or stare at the outside of an apartment complex while my character makes sweet, sweet love to some chick I just spent a few hours romancing. Err, sorry about the tangent, head past the break for the teaser and why it’s almost certainly all about Prototype 2. READ MORE
